Keepsake was recommended to me a couple years ago when I was on the hunt to create/finish a sleeve. I emailed Russ and I’m now hard pressed to want tattoos from anyone else. He is an amazing artist, efficient in his work and it’s always appreciated that he checks on you during the session.
Russ has done all of the work in the included pictures except for the lilies at the top, but he did rework them. The honey bee and orchids are the most recent addition. Now I just need to figure out what I want for the other arm.
The shop is clean and the eclectic decor always gives something to look at.

I met one of the artists (Aaron) to discuss getting my first tattoo. Very easy to talk to. Looking forward to my appointment in a couple of weeks. No cost for talking with the artist.
Update:I went back after a couple of weeks and got my first tattoo along with my fiance. Aaron made us both feel very comfortable and relaxed about the process. The shop is clean and orderly with great decor. Everything turned out great. We supplied the art, and Aaron did a fantastic job with the puffins.

Wonderful experience here. Fun and clean tattoo parlor. Our tattooist, Aaron, was professional, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. We'll go back for another tattoo with Aaron.

My husband and I have been traveling in our converted school bus for the past year. We fell in love with Astoria, so we wanted to get our bus tattooed on us to always remember our first home. Russ created the most beautiful piece of art. It is seriously perfect and so accurate. Despite the pain, it was an awesome memory to have forever. We had a great time talking and sharing stories for about 6 hours. Now we have a beautiful memory of our bus forever, but we also made a new friend. Can’t wait to see Russ again when we come back to Astoria!

I’ve gotten around 10 tattoos with Aaron, and he never disappoints. The shop is clean , comfortable, welcoming, and Aaron always keeps a clean workplace. He is able to produce the exact tattoo I have in mind, and each time leaves me feeling proud and so impressed with his work. I show him pictures, give ideas, and he executes precisely what looks incredible. He has a sharp eye to detail and always makes sure my neck / body is comfortable if I’m in an out of the regular position. Super awesome and caring artist. keepsake is incredible.

I guess I should finally write a review lmfao. I have received 6 tattoos from Russ and the studio is always so chill/comfy, I just wanna nap every time. Russ is so fast and yet never wants to produce something that’s not up to his standards (which is 10/10). I never want to go to another artist. The only complaints that I see on here are due to the studio being locked and that they’re by appointment only but that has been the case for years now (and maybe read idk). Maybe it’s because I’m a woman, but having a locked appointment along with someone looking out for you is only a plus in my book. Thank you so much!

Wonderful and clean shop! Russ has so far done all four of my tattoos; he’s incredibly fast and very detailed oriented, and takes pride in the work he produces. A very welcoming and fun environment! His work is gorgeous

When we picked Astoria as a travel destination last summer, I started looking up places we may want to visit and top of the list was a tattoo shop. I did a deep dive into their website and Instagram accounts and Keepsake clearly became our top choice. For the record, their explicit support of #BlackLivesMatter sealed the deal. I knew it was a long shot trying to get on one of their artist's calendars only a few weeks prior, although I decided it was worth trying. I e-mailed both Aaron and Russ. I got an automatic reply from Aaron that he was booked out for like six months, however, Russ responded and while he was already fully booked the week we would be there, he offered to put us on a waitlist just in case someone canceled. Fast forward a week, and still a couple weeks before our trip, and Russ reached out to get more information on what we were looking for. Then he proceeded to go out of his way to bump up some local clients to make room for us. It was my honey's second and my more than second tattoo. Both were in "spicy" spots pain-wise--calf for him, inner upper arm for me. Russ is a seasoned artist and it shows through both his professionalism, as well as his ability to make a painful experience as easy as possible. Tattoo safety aside (which they obviously take very seriously), I really appreciated their attention to COVID safety as well, including masking for artists and clients. Both of our pieces have healed beautifully and we would return in a heartbeat. I am hoping that future travel plans can include more time in Astoria and specifically more time at Keepsake Tattoo. I would just plan farther ahead next time!
