About Liberty Theatre
Based on the reviews, the Liberty Theatre in Astoria, Oregon, is a beautifully restored historic venue. It is a gorgeous 100-year-old theater with beautiful architecture, including ornate plasterwork and grand chandeliers. The stage is not huge but is perfect for a small ensemble, and there is not a bad seat in the house since it is not a huge theater. The acoustics are exceptional. However, the theater was built long ago when people apparently did not need leg room, and even those with short legs may feel cramped. The friendly staff and many friendly volunteers tell history about the theater. The bar in the basement has great little snacks and reusable cups that provide a discount for future beverages. The theater is a unique venue to take in a comedy show or a band. It is a cultural hub that has hosted world-class musicians and community events. It is a true gem on the Oregon coast, and visitors look forward to going back soon.

Saw the Golden West Brass, brass quintet from Travis AFB. Nice performance, beautiful theater. Stage isn't huge but it's perfect for a small ensemble.
