After years of excellent service (thinking back, I've had US Bank since 1972) thing have gone VERY bad since I moved out of state./ Some third party company has refused to pay bills I submitted - I am being charged $2 for a counter-check and while I have overdraft protection, they are telling me checks are being returned.
But worst it is absolutely impossible to speak to a live human - who speaks even passale English, and even worse is at the branch. The bank claims to offer a local number, but then NEVER connects you with anyone.
Perhaps the worst service I have ever encountered.

My Australian in-laws are in country touring the West Coast with my husband and me. My mother in-law put her Aussie debit card in the ATM to pull money out and the machine shredded her card. She went to the bank and the manager was very rude stating there was nothing they could do, the ATM is a third party company, and wouldn’t provide any contact information. Don’t do business here.

Rosemary pointed out an investment option for me and has always been helpful in the branch and with her follow up. I have had other interaction at the Astoria branch and each one was efficient and friendly. I highly recommend US Bank on Duane Street!

After 12 years of supporting US Bank and loving my experience and especially this branch I have found that it is time to leave. It is far too hard to get direct answers out if anyone and questions get passed around and never answered. I have asked a few times for management to call me so I can get direct answers but they never do. I had to make an appointment to pull MY money out which is a pain. I never wanted to be a credit union member but I guess it's time. Customer service is lost in big banks. I just never wanted to believe it.

I’m so surprised to see the negative reviews of this U.S. Bank branch. I’ve always had excellent service here, and two weeks ago was no exception. I understand that doing all banking in the drive-thru can be frustrating and take longer than going inside. However, the staff is fantastic, and I appreciate the fact that they are taking extra precautions during this pandemic. Every employee that I’ve dealt with here is friendly, courteous and professional. Until the lobby is opened, be organized and ready to complete your transaction, and the drive-thru line will move much faster. And be nice to the staff, this is hard for them too.

I waited for 15mins in the drive through to be met with a irritated and condescending teller( with a BRUTAL 90's PERM)I asked multiple questions that she refused to answer and when I asked to speak to a manager, she told me that she was calling the police! Yes the police! When she came back she had the manager that very nicely and quickly answered my questions and I was gone in 60 seconds! Rediculous !!!!!!This happed on 11/13/2020 at 12:35
