“Very kind people and reasonable rates. After my mom passed away and one of her cats was diagnosed with acute kidney disease, they donated some kidney diet food they had lying around from other donors. "We like to share the love around here." ?”
“We had to meet them on a Friday evening, after hours. The quick care and kindness given to my nervous Ginger was fantastic. We were sent home with medication to help Ginger overcome the intestinal issue the Doctor believed she was suffering from. Follow up on Monday was great and test results were provided then. The course of medication given on Friday night was accurate for her care. Ginger is on the mend!”
“Evergreen Veterinary Hospital has been a godsend for us! They are always very friendly, professional and compassionate. We are treated as part of the family. They treated our old very sick dogs with dignity and respect. Always making time for us and making sure our babies got the best care possible. We have a younger anxious dog now that is always treated with care and patience. We just took our newest puppy there for his initial medical care. They are wonderful! Thank you Doctors, Front office, Techs and Owners!!!”
“This Doctor is amazing and I'm so grateful for his help with Rosco (our 15 yr old dog) during his last few months and the day he passed. Prices very reasonable and the animals come first I don't think they turn away any animal if they are able to help.”
“I've been taking our animals and now my family's animals here for the last four + years. They are the most affordable I've found, have great service and staff. I don't ever want to have to go to another vet clinic. Look no further!”
“Fantastic, knowledgeable, caring, and sympathetic staff. Great communication about my fur baby's health and what needed to be done to help them recover from their bite/puncture wound. Showered my boy with praise and compliments the whole time. I feel like my pet is extremely cared about and important to them. I love it”
“They did a great job performing a wellness check for my leopard gecko. It's so nice having a vet in Salem that can handle looking at reptiles and was able to address any of my concerns.”
“Dr Dietrich has always been phenomenal with my animals. A few times over the last couple years I've had friends with acutely sick animals that can't get in anywhere and this office makes space in the schedule and are so kind. I appreciate the care you take of my furry family ?”
“Great price, friendly staff, and they fit me in quickly without an appointment. My cat has a lot of anxiety but they were able to keep him calm enough for his vaccinations. 10/10 service and care!”
“They allow me to buy my cats C/d food in both wet and dry. Their prices are fair for both food and services and everyone is so friendly! They also occasionally have coupons for discounts on your food! 10/10 stars absolutely recommend! My only desire is that they're open on Fridays too! But everyone needs a break so it's completely understandable.”
“I have been going to Countryside for 15 yrs and have recommended them to several people. I drive an hour to get there and the value and care r totally worth it. The first vet I've ever gone to that trys NOT to have to do surgery. Its a family business and I feel like I'm one of them.”
“Brought my granddaughter in to adopt a cat. And it took a couple of times, but she found her best friend today. I couldn't be happier. Thanks to everyone who gave us the red carpet treatment. Kathleen Hubbard”

“Beyond helpful, caring and understanding when it was time for my 17 year old dog to cross the Rainbow bridge. Would definitely recommend Salem Vet for emergencies.”
“I am new to town and a new dog-dad. I (and my dog) were pretty nervous and I can tell you the service provided by Dr. Elsiman and her staff was just perfect. They welcomed us and treated me and my companion with respect and explained any problems or apprehensions I came in with. Will definitely turn to them for any further vet needs here in the mid-valley.”
“I’ve been here twice. No other place I have taken my pet have I found the same level of compassion and assurance that my beloved pet was in the right hands. It’s not a particularly fun place to visit but they really make you feel at ease, that you can take everything at your pace, and that the doctors are going to pour their heart and soul into getting your pet up and running.
5 years ago, my husky had to get her face stitched up due to encounter with a wild animal. I wish I could remember the doctors name, but she told me she grew up sewing and that while it would be a bit, she was going to take her time and make sure it was done right. She did just that. After the hair grew back, no one could tell the extent of her injury.
5 years later, I had to return with my little best friend to give her a happy ending and let her be at peace. It is the hardest choice I’ve ever made. However, from beginning to end, I felt like statia and myself were truly cared for and I actually felt better about making the decision to let her go, than I have felt in the multiple days leading up to this point. They are extremely thoughtful, and while I cannot remember the nurses name, I will always remember you being there for me in one of my toughest moments. I really did need that hug, thank you.
I truly admire every single one of you for what you do, and from the bottom of my broken heart, thank you.”
“Dr Brittany and her nurse Persephone took such good care of my dog. They were both very patient and knowledgeable and my dog loved them. It was my first visit at this clinic and I was so impressed.”
