Butteville General Store, Oregon's oldest continuously operated mercantile since 1863, offers a charming country store experience. It features a variety of classic and creative ice cream flavors, with the best homemade ice cream in the region. The store serves sandwiches, with a popular Taco Tuesday, and has a cozy atmosphere suitable for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In October, breakfast service will be added on weekends. Visitors can enjoy espresso in the mornings, and there are often events like Saturday night dinners with live music. The staff is friendly and genuine, providing good service in a historic, pretty building with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and parking. The store also offers friendly information about the area's history, making it a favorite spot for families and visitors exploring Oregon.
We stopped in for breakfast. The place looked unassuming. Don't let that fool you. The food was phenomenal! The staff, very friendly and the atmosphere wonderfully historic. Check it out! Oh, and the banana bread....to die for!!!!

Love the food but don't appreciate that the bicycles fill the one and only handicapped spot.
