Thatcher's Ace Hardware is a locally owned and very well stocked store in Baker, Oregon, described as one of the best Ace stores visited. It is a surprisingly busy and popular location that is meticulously maintained and clean. The team members are wonderful, offering excellent customer service with great effort, knowledge, and pleasantry. Staff provide personal service and a convenient shopping experience, often helping customers find specific solutions. While generally a great experience with a helpful personal touch, some note that employees can sometimes watch customers a little too closely. Overall, it is committed to being the helpful hardware place in the neighborhood.

I visit my mountain property at 6000' level. Camping there is the best, but when I need supplies, I always drop down into Baker City and head straight to Thatcher's. Great people and always a big help finding what I need.

This Ace is the place! I don't usually need help but when I do I can find someone.
Good service and a good selection. I usually am able to get what I need there.
