Love this Shop/ food Joint., they Have A unique Aray of Fishing lures, awesome pictures of The Great Fishing Conquests through the years. The Food is always Cooked up Fresh. The Smoked Tuna Pieces are my Personal favorite. My husband likes To Always order the Corn dog With Fries. I try to Grab a bowl of chowder whenever Possible, Cuz it really goes fast & it’s always made fresh. Two visits so far.We drive 2 hours to this place because it's the best! The prawns and chips, cod and halibut have all been so delicious and cooked very well each time! The sauces are delicious and taste to be made in house, you MUST get extra tarter! It's worth stopping in.

Very knowledgeable about who to talk to and where regarding crab fishing since the pier there was under construction and the weather sucked. Wished we would've had time to try their food, but next time for sure when we're in town.

Lady was super nice, I really wanted to like the fish tacos. I couldn't believe how much sauerkraut was in the fish taco, I even tried scraping it out and it was still so strong... kinda sad I paid all that money for something I really could not eat.

We eat here every single time we make a coast trip. We ordered the fish and chips. It comes with small sides of coleslaw, shrimp cocktail, tartar sauce and ketchup. We paid roughly $16.95 per full order which is a little high but everything is on the coast. The staff is super friendly and on top of things. Puts out grandpa's tackle box vibes, but they sell cool decals and stickers Only rated 4 stars for service because there was foul language being used in the kitchen which my kid could hear in the outdoor dining area. The atmosphere has 3 stars because it's a bait shop lol it's not fancy or even a restaurant but it's good food, so we keep coming back.Parking: We park in the huge pier parking lot located directly behind the Bait Shop. Generally pretty packed but the walk isn't bad cause the pier has wooden art and actual paintings to look at if ya wanna just stroll on down. Also, it's located right on the downtown strip so you can walk around and check out the fudge gift shop, bar, or whatever you want.Kid-friendliness: The outdoor seating makes it super easy to have your kids enjoy restaurant food with the whole family without the worry of them running around or creating a scene. Bring your own highchair if you need one. (we bring a small portable highchair that fits on the bench seats).Wheelchair accessibility: Hard to get a stroller through the front door I couldn't imagine trying a wheelchair. Bench seating outside is tight but I bet you could fit a wheelchair on the end cap of one of the outskirt tables easy.

This is the BEST FISH and CHIPS you will ever have. EVER! We are from San Francisco and spend time on East Coast as well, and nothing compares to the Bandon Bait Shop for excellence in food. We always get the Seafood and Chips and besides the Fish and Chips, the Prawns and Chips are Epic!!! If you like fresh seafood and are not a fan of tempura, or of beer battered or corn meal coated anything, then this place will knock your socks off. This is the BEST of BANDON, but really the BEST of the Pacific Northwest. Forgot the silly uninformed reviews for Tony's next door, BANDON BAIT in Old Town Bandon is Epic and a must stop!

This is a colorful, excellent, social, local fish spot. Caters to fishermen and anyone who likes really good seafood. Nice folks running it. You will probably have a short happy conversation with a friendly local while you wait on outside picnic benches. We loved the fish n chips and clam chowder so much we came back the next day. We got the rock cod fillets which were super fresh! They throw in a little cup of shrimp n cocktail sauce, too. Great basic slaw as well. We noticed tourists passing the place to go to the more popular joints just further down 1st Street. Why? The prices aren't cheap, but for the amount n quality, we were thrilled. Highly recommend!

Beautiful lightly breaded fish accompanied by the crispiest fries on the coast, and every meal comes with shrimp cocktail to top it all off. This is the best fish and chips I've had in a long time.

We had lunch here today, fish and chips and shrimp and chips, both were absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and thoughtful, and the seating area was immaculate. We will definitely be making the drive up to Bandon for this again.

All ashore going ashore! If you're looking for tasty fish & chips, Bandon Bait is a must! Let's start with the man with piercing blue eyes who will take your order. He's super nice, and is happy to recommend items from their menu. The menu has a variety of items from shrimp, to frog legs. All can be fried/come fried. We both ordered the fish n chips. The fish is freshly caught, and is flaky, tasty, and just yum. The fish definitely could've used some seasoning, or a little bit more seasoning. The crust is more of a cornmeal, and I'm still that deep fried kind of girl. It was still very tasty. To the point that while I asked for extra tartar sauce, it really did not need it. I did ask for some malt vinegar which is not the norm for this location, and I was given packets of Heinz mulch vinegar. Not a great product to begin with, and I definitely did not help with the fish experience Once you order at the counter, you go grab your own seat, wherever you can find one, and they will find you and bring you your food. The foods reasonably priced, generous servings, and you'll see why they are always busy. Always. Now you may be asking yourself about the bait part of this location... Since they're literally right by the water, people do come in and purchase bait and other things and go fishing themselves. It just works. Parking is free, but definitely you need to be patient when looking for it. The parking lot serves numerous businesses in the area, once you're parked, you're gonna want to walk through the cute little village, visit the stores, etc. Great food, great service, and a great experience!
