Sunset Jerky and More is a specialized jerky shop and haven for jerky connoisseurs. It offers a large and great selection of gourmet and craft beef jerky, including unique flavors like alligator and kangaroo jerky. The store also has much more, featuring local specialty foods, jams, honey, sweets, dried fruits, nuts, taffy, and preserves. The staff is super nice, friendly, and helpful. While some find the prices a little spendy, others note they are below grocery store prices. It is an impressive place definitely worth a stop or a shopping spree on the way to the coast for things you can’t get anywhere else.
We stopped here on a whim after seeing their sign on the highway. The owner was very nice and pointed us toward all their vegan offerings: lots of jerky, nuts, dried fruits, and corn nuts (all flavors except honey roasted, even the cheesey ones, are vegan). This place is awesome. The owner is kind friendly and has a great sense of humor. This is always on my stopping list when I'm coming from the coast.
