Renting with Uber and I'm notified of a late payment by them shutting off my Uber app in the middle of a busy Friday afternoon requiring an hour trip across town. No other notification, no emails, no calls, and it wasn't even legitimate, trying to take a payment on a holiday when banks are closed. Can't even call because they shut off the phones.

Super slow service with antiquated technology that makes the check-in process very slow and difficult. There is no advantage in Avis Preferred at this location. It might be a good location for renting trucks through Budget, but go somewhere else for cars.

They do not rent non electric vehicles here any longer for Uber. It needs to be fixed on the app.

You could tell that the counterclerk has been through some stuff. He's seen the extremes of humanity in the West hills of Portland. The lady before me rented a van and was upset it wasn't a 15 passenger van and only a 12 passenger van for her daughter's shoe collection. They're doing the best they can for being in the middle of a yuppie dystopian nightmare.

Avis/Hertz car rental was quick, easy and the lady behind the desk was very friendly and effective. I was very surprised at how nice the experience was as at their sister store at the airport it was a complete disaster.

Unfortunately I can't give less than one star. I reached out to Avis after I left a luggage bag in a rental. Avis opened a claim and assured they would get back to me, they didn't. So I reached out with my clam number and they said they were looking into it and that they'd get back to me. They haven't. So nine months after forgetting my bag with about $500 in personal items, it appears Avis has decided getting back to customers for claims filed is inconsequential to running a business.

Picked up a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Saturday. While driving out of the lot I realized the right rear tire was lower on air than the rest of the tires. Didn't think twice about it until I got in the vehicle Sunday after the car was loaded. Found a nail in the tire AND the valve cap for this tire only was missing. The reason this is important is because someone was clearly filling it up with air and knew about the issue prior to allowing me to rent the vehicle to drive from Portland to Salt Lake City. Extremely frustrated due to the fact they let me rent a vehicle with pre-existing damage and they are closed Sunday so I had to go to PDX Airport for a vehicle swap which surprisingly enough had worst customer service than the Beaverton branch. I choose Avis due to price and I paid for it in the long run. Wish I would have read the other reviews before booking.

Horrid customer service and terrible cars. They overbook and I would tell anyone to go to any other car rental agency. Avis is a joke of a car rental agency. Go to Enterprise or Hertz

Tried calling this location multiple times, at different times of day, for more than a week. Just needed to find out if they had after-hours drop-off available. According to Avis/Budget, they do not, but they encouraged me to call the location to verify. No one ever answered the phone. Ever. Without going into irrelevant details, the lack of this information cost me an Uber and inconvenienced friends. The owner's response? Sorry. And then I went and stood in the rain to wait for my Uber. If you need any level of customer service -- complex things like answering the phone -- you should probably look elsewhere.
