Was with Banner for many years with their free checking. I will start off with a positive, all the tellers I have dealt with over the years have been friendly and personable. Now the negatives, a $4 a month charge for checking, less local branches available, online bank functions do not work properly, cannot get after hours help (very important). When I called to close my account after many years of being a customer, there was no thank you or hope you will give us another try, just okay it's closed.

Very disappointed at their service; teller not well trained, didn't even know that they have to sign a cashier's check ;

May be it's a good bank when you are in your good times. But when hard time comes, this bank make your hard time even harder: they build up so many beurocratic obstacles in managing your accounts & money. Do not recommend to open account there anyone.

I have a long story about Banner Bank giving me bad checks that ruined my credit score. Then they refuse to take the blame or do anything about it. And then they try to charge me for using a technician to figure out the problem. Worst bank ever

My biggest complaint is that they don't have a branch where I moved. Great PR, great customer service, friendly staff, great policies. Honestly, I've never liked a bank before Banner Bank and I'm nearing my fifth decade of life. I don't know how anyone would rate them less than 4 stars.

I'm giving them one star because zero stars aren't an option offered. I walked into the Murray-Scholls branch this afternoon with $22k to open checking and savings accounts and was told there was no one there who could do that for me. "Come back tomorrow " they said. "Oh, and here's the business card of the guy who can take care of you. Make sure you call ahead and find out what time works best for him. " Seriously? That's customer service?! You'd think they were doing me a favor at their convenience. Heading down the street to another bank.

I was SO close to closing our business account at Banner Bank because of a particular female employee. She left, and I decided to see how it went with a new teller and manager. Vey glad we stuck it out. With new people in place, it's always nice to walk in and be greeted by name and hold conversations with the staff. I have noticed that the welcoming environment is shared with other customers, and there have been some times when the customers then talk to each other. Imagine that! :) Shalen, Harry and Stephen are who we usually see, but I have never been disappointed with any of the people staff at this location. One of my friends actually opened an account there after being told at his bank, Chase, that they could not help him without an appointment. My friend had to rollover an IRA, and procrastinated. I called Harry, who took care of my friend. Now that's customer service.

If it wasn't for Banner Bank being the bank our contractor uses I would have walked out. My 7 month pregnant wife had to use the bathroom and they told us it was for employees only.

This bank doesn't even deserve one star! I first joined this bank when it came to this area because I swore off commercial banks and all their fee's! When I first started my account with them of course like any other commercial bank they started to take away things about the bank that made me like the bank in the first place. I have recently closed my account for those reasons!

I think this bank has helpful, friendly tellers and we really appreciate the ATM fees returned. We have been mostly satisfied with our banking experience here. The only lacking part is that most of their ATMs (not just at this branch) are so outdated! You truly can't make cash or check deposits that post right away because they only have a drop box! It's not as though this is technology that's come out in the last six months. ALL the other banks have updated ATMs. Please fix this!!

Customer service is decent at this branch but the banking amenities are lacking imo. They close at 5:00 pm and aren't open on Saturdays making you rely on inadequate ATM services which are also lacking (I.e. u can't make a cash deposit that will actually post to ur account immediately like other ATMs.). And I recently had their branch ATM crash on me while withdrawing $200. It took me nearly a month to get my money back which is crap. I love my credit union banks like First Tech & Rivermark which I rate highly on all aspects of banking. I can hardly recommend this bank because there are so many other decent banks out there. Cancelling my account the first chance I can get!!

I asked if they would break a $100 since the Children's haircut place across the street didn't have enough change yet. They refused to stating it was against their policy since I didn't have an account their. As I was about to walk out the manager gave the approval for them to break the bill. I was told they don't do it out of security and to avoid the risk of receiving fraudulent bills. First of all if I were the manager at a financial institution I would make damn sure you knew how to spot counterfeit bills vs real ones before hiring you. Common sense or at least one would think so... I was asked if I wanted to open an account. I declined the offer and informed them I have received way better service at far less pleasant banks where I would NEVER open an account. I know my business won't make or break them. Hopefully others receive better treatment than I did.
