I consulted with Josh about a custom PC build on a Monday and had my PC by Friday of the same week. He was upfront and honest about pricing from the first phone call.
Throughout the process Josh was incredibly professional, thorough and knowledgeable when discussing my options and was accommodating when a change to the original build plan came up. He also sold me a fantastic open box monitor at a great price.
I highly recommend Josh and Computer Renaissance .

Incredible shop, best in Portland. Josh has been willing to look at anything I bring him and his knowledge is very useful for unconventional issues that others will not attempt to solve

THIS guy, he knows his stuff! My processor was basically dead, but it presented in a wierd way so it was extremely difficult to diagnose, I even had my place of employment's IT guy trying to work on it and he couldn't even figure out what was wrong with it. Took my beast of a machine here, got a really nice glass through flow case, updated my liquid cooling, new processor, never mind the time he took to diagnose that thing and work with me to get my machine the way I wanted it....all at a very decent price. 10/10, would bring my rig here again.
Pro tip: If your boyfriend says he can build you a sweet rig, but has never been hired as a professional and seems like he has the cognitive function of a mosquito, don't do it. Had that thing for only a year because the liquid cooling wasn't hooked up properly.

Josh was absolutely awesome. I had a custom-built PC that worked for about a month before developing all kinds of weird issues. Even Josh wasn't able to determine what exactly was wrong with it, but he messed with it and updated drivers and cast miscellaneous spells over it and it came away 4 days later working almost perfectly. I'd recommend him to anyone with a PC giving them problems.

Josh gives great service at honest prices. He fixed a really tricky case of blue screen and even helped with a followup question I had over the phone (it was user error, not Josh's). I would recommend his shop to anyone. Thanks, Josh!

Recently had them swap a motherboard. Issue got fixed, but the pricing can be awful. I was charged a pretty significant markup from the parts that were ordered on top of the labor fee, and only fully realized after checking pricing from the receipt and parts lists.
If you go here, I would highly recommend double checking all pricing on all parts being ordered to avoid this.

My son's laptop computer won't charge. We broght the laptop to BestBuy, we were told the charging port was dead, a replacement was needed, but it would take 2-3 weeks. I then brought the laptop to Computer Renaissance, Josh took a look, everyhting was OK except the charging cord, he fixed the issue pretty easily, charged me for only $20. I strongly recommend Computer Renaissance (Josh) to everyone.
