Had a tarot card reading at Jan's and it was positive. I felt like it was what I needed to hear. Reader is there from 11 to 1 pm on Saturdays. Jan's also supports the community by showing other places of interest. Not an ordinary bookstore, great place to get books.

Cool place. I had no idea this existed; I just walked by it randomly. Friendly staff. It definitely leans romance and mystery, but I was able to find something cool in the smaller fantasy section.

I LOVE Jan’s! I have been coming here since I was a kid. I have always loved reading and now I’m a reading teacher! Recently, Jan’s put out a social media post to purchase books for classrooms and purchased several books for my 5th graders! So grateful for this wonderful business that is so devoted to spreading a love for reading!

While I don't think it's everyone's experience, being greeted by two sweet puppies was a delightful experience when I first came to Jan's. Despite it's small size, the bookstore packs an impressive amount of books into the space in a charming and well-organized format. It's the quintessential used book store that every community should have and I'm grateful that they have survived the move to online book sales. I bought a children's game from their small stock of used games and found the service to be very friendly and attentive.

This store rocks! They have everything, even LGBTQ+ fiction and graphic novels/manga. They also have a section dedicated to Book of the Month books, which I loved. This store is definitely worth a visit, just make sure you have enough time to explore. Thanks again, Marcus!

I love small family owned bookstores . They're so fun when you can see different personalities of spaces. I like the outside discount books ! I found one cool book for 2$ !!! Inside had alot of cute local things. There was a really good selection of books ! New and USED ! you can also trade books in for credit ! Love love books !! The lady who greeted me was nice.

This place was recommended to us by an employee at Powell’s Cedar. Was a great stop on my birthday bookstore crawl! They had great prices and a wide range of books both new and used. Super friendly staff and very helpful! Great book of the month and special edition section.

This place is for you if you’re into fantasy, suspense, romance, or cozy mysteries. I’m sure I’m missing a few, but my point is that this store mainly caters to a handful of niche interests. It is such a cozy, welcoming environment, and the two people working the shop when I came in couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. The prices were excellent and the selection was great. There were also some of the fun “extras” I love to see in a bookshop, like a tarot card display, puzzles, and a few piles of discounted used board games. All in all, I can’t believe I didn’t discover this gem sooner and I look forward to going back (and taking my dog)! ❤️
