The dining room atmosphere is so loud during the Saturday dinner service. It was difficult to have a conversation at my table without yelling. The restaurant was packed. All the restaurant surfaces are hard which may contribute to amplifying noise. The bathroom smelled of an unpleasant toxic chemical. At times, this could be smelled in the dining area. The food was OK. The seafood soup was stingy on actual seafood and heavy on tofu. The pork dumplings were tasty. They were more like spring rolls rather than a dumpling. The night I visited was raining, extremely cold and windy. This made the outdoor seating impossible to use. I will not do dine in again.Parking: Expect to walk a block or two from available streetside parking.

Best Korean food in Portland. Service is great but seating is limited so get there early to get on waiting list.

First time here. We came on a Saturday night and missed the opening by 30 minutes so we had to wait 20min for a table. Not bad. It was packed but service was fast and efficient. They gave us two water pitchers for the table. Ordered Kimchi Pancake, tteobokki, bibimbap, bulgogi, and spicy pork. For me, being half Korean and enjoying many different Korean restaurants and moms cooking, this place just didn't hit the spot. First, the banchon were good. And a good variety. Second the Kimchi pancake was good. Hit the spot. That's where it stopped for me. Tteobokki, one of my favorite dishes was way to sweet. Like a sweetness I e never ever had in this dish. Actually made it not very joyable. Both meat dishes were plentiful but when the chop the meat up so much into fine little pieces it becomes like a diced dish instead of some nice pieces of meat. I'll let those who enjoy this place keep coming, but it's a pass for me. Better places within 5 miles.

The best Korean food in Oregon with the best Banchan, Kimchi pork belly, and kimchi-jigae. It's no wonder they don't offer take out and I respect it. We live about 45+ minutes out and it's definitely worth the drive and wait if you have to. The service is friendly and to the point. It's a smaller restaurant so be prepared to wait if you aren't there right at opening. I want more!

First time here and we are DEFINITELY coming back :) husband and I moved to Beaverton a year ago from LA and we miss our KBBQ. Nak Won has amazing KBBQ options, but also separate plates so it gives you great options. The meat is high quality and the staff was great.

Awesome food! The prime (kalbi) and beef stone pot rice are both very delicious. Side dishes are also good.

Great food but waited more than an hour to get seated on a week night. Tried to dine in again on another week night, same wait time.

I've been trying to find a good spot for soondobu for a while. And I think I just did. I've had this place bookmarked on my Yelp for months but it's been one of those "only if we're in the area" type of decisions. I'm so happy I got to go here because now- I would drive here anytime I'm craving soondobu. Parking: street. Be ready to walk- most of the restaurants on this street tend to get busy on the weekend. Service: AMAZING. We came on a Saturday night. Checked in around 5:45 pm and got seated an hour later. There were 2 guys running the floor taking orders and bussing tables. Some other workers came out to deliver orders too. Even though they were obviously having a busy night, they kept a uplifting and welcoming vibe. Be ready to wait though. We didn't mind it at all considering how many workers were working to keep a very busy night going. Food: SPICE LEVEL: 4/5. For those who love spicy, I rate it 2/5. Their banchan is so delicious and flavorful. We got the beef bibimpap and able to spice it up to our liking. Spicy pork belly was the perfect complimentary to the beef bibimpap. It was sweet and spicy and yummy. Their soondobu- SPOT ON. This was definitely the star of the night. The base wasn't watery and gave out so much flavor. They added so much tofu rather than a few pieces, which was a huge plus for me. Some other popular foods we seen being ordered were tteokboki, Korean pancake, and table top kbbq. I can see us coming back again for sure.

Loved that they serve a lot of different appetizers before the meal. Loved their rice wine.

I always order spicy stir fried squid whenever I go to any Korean restaurant, but Nak Won was disappointing. It wasn't spicy. I don't know if it's cause the AC was on blast, but my food was warm/room temperature. I do like the variety of banchan. My partner got beef stone bimbimap (not pictured) and it was ok. The beef were cut up into small slices so it wasn't enjoyable to eat. :-(

The lemon garlic wings were pretty awesome, and it would be a mistake to not try them. The chicken curry was also pretty good, but the wings got the 5 star. The lemonade was a little bitter and needed some sugar.Service was friendly

Nak Won is a long standing family favorite with delicious, authentic cuisine and still owned by the same family. We arrived at 5:05, just minutes after they opened with seven tables already filled before us. The restaurant was soon filled to capacity of happy groups eating amazingly tasty foods. There is ample outdoor seating and to go orders as well if the waitlist gets too long, which can happen since the food is amazing. I brought a group of friends tonight and ordered a variety of traditional dishes... Pork Mandu (potstickers), Kalbi (beef ribs), Haemul Pajeon (seafood and egg pancake), Bulgogi (seasoned and stir fried steak) along with their vast array of sides and assorted soju (apple, peach and citron) to break them in for the complete experience. Everyone left with happy bellies. They have clean restrooms on site and friendly helpful staff.

If you want Korean food, this is the place to go. It's a small joint, but the flavors are immense. We opt not to grill our own meats, it's just so much nicer when they come out with a sizzling plate of kalbi, bulgogi, and pork bulgogi. Service is quick. Food is plentiful. What else could you ask for? The only thing is that you smell like BBQ when you leave. But is that really such a bad thing? :)

This is my boyfriend's favorite Korean restaurant. I've been going here for years, but haven't been in a while. I love their banchan variety! They give you so many-more compared to other Korean restaurants. My favorites are the fish cake and pickled radish. I usually get their bibimbap or bibim nengmyun. The bibim nengmyun is a summer seasonal dish. It is perfect to cool down from the summer heat, but the spice can heat you up quickly. My boyfriend likes their jajangmyun which is also good! Saucy and soft noodles. Their prices are standard as compared to other Korean restaurants. The service is not bad. The owner is always smiling and polite. He's always been the one doing everything. I do wish we were able to get a water bottle refill, but I understand he is busy. I will continue to come back to support this business!

Mom and Pop Korean food. Only open for a few hours, and so make sure to arrive at opening. Very delicious and busy restaurant. Kimchi is delicious and their meat is flavorful.
