Went there for a sore throat. Was turned away and told to go somewhere else to get a negative Covid test and then I could come back and be seen. Why would anyone do that? If you have to go somewhere else anyway wouldn’t you just be treated there too? What a joke.

I adore Doctor Leaf. I've been coming to see him for over 5 years. He's my primary doctor, and has always provided me with great care. I've seen him for all sorts of things over the years and he's never let me down. I appreciate his honesty and the way he talks to me. Doctors too often treat us patients like we're imbeciles. I will continue to come to see Dr Leaf for as long as I live in Portland.

So I came here due to a horrible hemorrhoid that was causing me immense pain. I was sure it was thrombosed, or at least had been. My husband had been in recently with an infected finger, and the doctor treated him quickly and was kind, so I was so confident he would be able to help me. But he took one look at the area, maybe even 5 seconds long, and diagnosed me as having a grade 1 hemorrhoid. He'd asked me a few questions beforehand, one being if I'd ever tried a prescription cream. I told him no and that I thought I was past that because the lain was so bad and it was so swollen down there. But after the quick examination, he said it would go away and prescribed me Procto Med, which did *nothing*. And turns out, after being seen by someone *far* better, I did indeed have a thrombosed hemorrhoid! Which had left behind a nasty skin tag that had to be removed (which my current doctor treating me did, and the relief was amazing!). I also had a terrible fissure. But this doctor failed to recognize even one of those things! Instead instantly just giving me a cream even though I told him I didn't think it would help, but I trusted his word that it would work. And he didn't even feel around the area or properly examine. He was a nice man, and he helped my husband, but this was a major issue that ended in me still being in pain for almost another month! I was almost in tears everyday. Had he diagnosed me correctly he would've saved me so much pain. I will never go back here because I feel like I can't trust him now.

Great urgent care clinic! Went in this morning because of pain in my back and shoulder that's been bothering me for about a week and wasn't getting better with rest & ibuprofen at home. I am in the process of finding a new primary doctor in the area and wasn't sure where to go but thankfully Google sent us here and they accepted my insurance. Appointment was very fast, everyone was nice and professional, and the doctor quickly diagnosed the cause of my shoulder pain and made a plan for treatment. The total cost with my insurance wasn't bad and I am so grateful I was able to be seen so quickly as a walk in. Thank you!

They won’t treat you without a covid test!! I requested sudafed!! The front office lady didn’t even know it’s not required to have an Rx for it!!! I made a virtual appointment with another place !!! Sudafed is OTC!!! This place is just looking for government padded covid numbers!

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Leaf for a few years now. He is great and has helped us tremendously many times. His diagnostic skills are amazing. His staff is also friendly and very helpful. It hard to find this kind of personalized service these days! So grateful that our older son found Dr. Leaf and told us about him.

We are a family of 6, and had a few injuries through out last 12 years. This is the place we go to, and recommend. The reception is OK. But the Dr is the best. He is very knowledgeable, does have an xray machine in the clinic, and put in temporary cast if needed. (We had to have a few of thise). Put in stitches for our deep cuts, and refers to the specialist if required.

Dr Leaf listens & actually cares, WONDERFUL bedside manner, professional, not rushed, kindly answered questions & dispensed meds. Nice facility. Update: Now on 3rd visit here & called with questions. Doc called right back, same great care. One of the best Docs I've ever visited, I'm not kidding, I can't believe it's an urgent care. I would not go anywhere else!! Do not hesitate. Thank you, Dr. Leaf!!Update 5 years later from my 1st visit: Broke my foot. Trip back. Same great service, same great Doc. He did my exam, x-rays, walking boot, told me exactly what I needed to do, and even wheeled me to my car! I went to a foot specialist follow up and EVERYTHING, Dr Leaf said was spot on. Thank you for years of great service, Dr. Leaf!

Are you looking for a receptionist who will turn you away with a sick baby, 2,000 miles away from home - because you didn’t take a COVID test BEFORE you came? Who will then direct you to another location 15 miles away? This is the place for you!!!EDIT TO ADD: I cannot respond to the owner's comment, but I appreciate the response. The issue is less a matter of confusion, the policy is uncomplicated enough. My complaint is that it is terribly lacking in empathy to treat a desperate parent this way. If for whatever reason your facility can't run simple COVID tests available at a pharmacy, fine, I certainly don't know the specifics of running an urgent care center so I can't claim to understand why that's your choice, but presumably you have a reason. The issue is that this is not communicated clearly until you are literally walking up the door to your facility. Perhaps you could add a website to your Google address here, so that potential visitors might understand. Or, you could have someone answer the phone. Lastly, you could explain to your receptionist that people going to urgent care with sick babies on Saturdays are probably already very upset, and don't need someone to be incredibly rude and dismissive on top of that.

Dr. Leaf is one of the most competent and caring doctors that I have had and he is always available even on weekends. Such doctors are so rare.I was suffering from a condition which was causing me severe pain but I was hesitant to go see a doctor because I couldn’t afford going back and forth between doctors taking days and days with the pain. Then I remembered my good experience with Dr. Leaf from a year ago when I saw him for a cold symptom and I decided to go to him.I am so glad I did. He seemed so experienced with my condition which made me feel that I was in good hands. He was also very understanding of my pain and tried the procedure as quick and painless as possible. The lady at the front desk was very helpful on the phone and during the procedure also. This is my go-to-urgent care even though there are other urgent care facilities that are much closer to where I live.

I walk in with sore throat. I get turned away, told to go get a COVID test then email them the results just to be seen for a sore throat!! Unbelievable! How is an urgent care going to turn someone away for a sore throat. I can see it now in the future.. Sucking chest wound, sore throat.. sorry we can’t help you! Go get a COVID test. *dies on the way to emergency room.If word for word I say I have strep throat I get it several times a year. how does that provoke go take a COVID test. Both COVID and strep tests are so different that they don’t provoke false negatives on either. Facts! Wonder why this place is always without any patients…

Make sure if you have any symptoms of a cold, allergies or something similar to covid that you get a negative test before you go. Otherwise they won't see you.
