I think the girl that is at the ballon desk is sucking on the helium a bit too much. With the lack of basic communication skills I can easily see why party city is going out of business.

DO NOT ORDER BALLOONS OR ANYTHING YOU NEED FOR PICK UP FOR A SPECIAL EVENT! I ordered balloons for pickup Dec 26 10-10:30 am so my sister's fiance could wake her up on her birthday to a beautiful gift and balloon filled table. After paying $80 for balloons and they took the money, I show up at 10 when they open, I show them the receipts provided below with the order number, the pickup time, everything and they just said "I don't know, I don't see it in our system, maybe the order expired" EXPIRED?!! My pick up time was 10-1030 am and I'm here at 10 and you say maybe I'm too late? Excuse me? These employees weren't even nice or compassionate about the fact that their companies system totally screwed the whole thing up. They just keep rudely saying i don't know and then tried saying oh well 10 was the latest you could be here. Then I show them the picture where it says 10-1030 so that shut that argument up, but why not be kind and nice about the fact that your system CLEARLY messed up while I'm showing you the proof. I saw online this company is closing and clearly they just don't care. DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY FOR A PICK UP ORDER YOU NEED AT A CERTAIN TIME. They had no problem taking the money. Weird. And it would be one thing, if they were kind and like oh my gosh I'm so sorry, but no, they were trying to lie and say oh you had to pick up at 10 at the latest. They didn't even open until 10 so how would that make sense. They were closed the day before. I had all the proof and receipts on my phone and instead of saying oh my gosh I'm so sorry how can we make it right, they just tried to not take accountability for their company's mess up. They are closing for a reason I'm sure, but never buying anything from this company. Good riddance. Really hope they can manage to process the refund correctly.

I have placed 3 orders here since September and each time has been incredibly awful. The first one the delivery driver handed me a bouquet that flew away and was not held together. The 2nd time I was instructed that a balloon was out of stock and when I got to the store to pick the bouquet up the said they replaced it and the balloon they replaced it with was massive and not at all seamless with the bouquet. It was like 2 beach balls big and looked AWFUL it was for someone during a hard time and this was embarrassing to give. This last time was for my sons first elf on the shelf. I had special instructions and they failed again. He balloons looked awful over inflated, strings hanging at different sizes from the end of the balloons where you blow into and then one of the balloons popped on the way home. I am disputing with my bank because this place is proving time and time again that its worthless.

7 person line took 20 mins to check out and line now backup up to about 30 people. 1 Checkout person super slow and other staff kept coming up but not helping

Give yourself plenty of lead time. Sometimes they get overwhelmed with orders. Not the staff's fault...management more like. They totally helped me out of a bind even tho they were behind.

My first time purchasing special occasion balloons from Party City.
Last night I ordered my 12 latex balloons of choice. 8 White & 4 rose gold pearl. The rose gold pearl online had dark copper undertones which is what you expect with rose gold. It gave a neutral look, which is what I was going for. Perfect! My order was placed for next day pick up between 8-8:30am. I arrived at 8:22am, saw the balloons and immediately my heart dropped. They were a pastel peachy-pink. NOT AT ALL what I needed or purchased. I let the employee know that I was super disappointed and showed him the color that it shows online. He verbally AGREED with me that they were quite different. He was not accomdating and made me feel like a nucanse when this clearly was not my fault! I was told it would be an HOUR wait for 4 replacement balloons!!! Wow. I held up my end of the bargain... placed an order in advanced, paid for the order and arrived on time. Party City did not hold up their end. He then offered to blow up TWO more but not FOUR... the other 2 would be an hour. Seriously? Sounds like a power trip. I get you're busy but this is what happens... stuff comes up and companies need to fix it. I was literally almost in tears from the stress of the special occasion and now not getting what I ordered. He knew I was upset and said "Do you want a refund?" ... no, I don't. Clearly, I need balloons!!! So in the end I end up with my 12 including the 4 pastel peach and 2 dark rose gold copper metallic that I PAID FOR. I ended up trashing the 4 peach. So rude. Horrible customer service and these balloons were for a restaurant reopening where we excel in customer service. I wish I could provide the photos that I have to back up my claim.
Also, the manager was near by. Hard to believe he didn't overhear all of this and never stepped in.

Customer service is definitely not a priority here. Employees refused to assist with a large balloon order. I was told to call Customer service, I was told that the phone number was on the website.

Called on 08/14/24 and asked if I could bring in balloons for a 40th party to be filled. I was told they are $1.50 each to fill. Cool, no problem. Explained I lived in Hillsboro and the party is in Tigard so I would be coming in 08/17/24 to have them filled. The lady on the phone assured me it would be no problem even being it was a Saturday. We get there and there’s a sign that says 3 hour wait for balloons. I asked the lady filling if that was correct. And she informed me it was actually a 4 hour wait. And with a snippy tone she said we tend to be the busiest on Saturdays. Sure I get that. But maybe inform the person answering the phone that they can’t accommodate walk-ins on Saturday. I was able to buy some prefilled ones (grab and go) for $40. But not at all what we needed nor wanted. Then to top it off they had this poor young lady working the register solo on their so called busiest day. With a line and a couple of people complaining about the wait to checkout. All in all I would not recommend this place or trust what they say over the phone.
