The new staff are odd. One guy plays talk radio(think Joe Rogan) while in the store. The other guy looks like the villain in Saw and has twice made oddly mysoginistic comments about the store and his cash register. My wife is super uncomfortable dealing with him. Tonight he quized her on music trivia to get her items. It's not funny or cute. Process our transactions, or we'll start going to another store. Not havimg Natalia and Marissa there have made us avoid the store. We will go to Buy2 or the Plaid store on Multnomah now.We have felt uncomfortable going to this location in the last month+. The dude there is just really weird and we fell uncomfortable dealing with his weird questions. I just want to buy stuff and leave.

I’ve been coming to this store for the last 2 years and Natalia is always a joy. She’s diligent, polite, and always helps me find good deals. A diamond in the rough! Give this lady a raise! She’s keeping customers coming back even though there’s always construction going on.The company itself could use some work though. Y’all might need a new CEO or something, and most of your stores need better ADA access for wheelchairs. There’s legal requirements for that, but I’ve never been in a plaid that’s wheelchair friendly. Better training at the main office might be something to consider.

This store is crooooooked. The advertisements are INACCURATE.I went in to get an energy drink and the monsters said they were 2/$4 or $3.09 each. I grab 2. He rings it up and I ask if I got the deal he said “there’s no deal”. I said yes there is that’s why I got two. He SLOWLY walks back, I go with him, I show him the sign and it says, 12 oz cans. I asked him where those were and he pointed to a different cooler, with no Monster drinks. The deal is buy 2 get 1 free. So I made sure to get my free one.If you shop here make sure you PAY ATTENTION to what and how they ring up.While I was back checking the sign with him, my husband was talking with another customer, she said this cashier accused her of stealing a water she brought in days before. A brand THE STORE DOESN’T EVEN CARRY.Crooked af and I won’t be back. This is NOT how you conduct business. And my husband and I have a successful small business owners.

This review has absolutely nothing to do with the staff. I come here a lot, and have always had positive interactions with the employees. This review is SOLELY FOR CORPORATE because this store DOES NOT HAVE FUNCTIONING A/C. Forget the fact that you are making customers stand in that heat while they shop (that is bad enough) but Plaid Pantry is FORCING THEIR EMPLOYEES TO BUILD MAKE-SHIFT COOLING SYSTEMS USING FANS AND ICE because they apparently do not view protecting their employees from heat stroke as a priority! Even if we weren't about to enter one of the hottest Summer's we'll ever experience to this point, this would be completely unacceptable!I understand if this review seems strong, but the A/C at this location has been out since last Summer! Seriously, Plaid Pantry, get it together and protect your workers!!!!!

This location has a very rude/aggressive employee working here, they see me quite often since this location is right by my house and every time this guy who works there is a total a****** and unfortunately he's there a majority of the time I go in and today's interaction just made me so frustrated and uncomfortable. I've never been forced to try and purchase an Oregon lotto ticket that was rang up incorrectly by the retailer, let alone told i refuse to ring up additional tickets and then had my money shoved back to me across the counter and refusing to make it right for their mess up, it's pretty standard protocol for the employee who rang up the ticket incorrectly to either display it for someone else to purchase or to purchase it themselves but it's not like it's a loss for the store it's a loss for Oregon lottery, I have plenty of friends who work in this industry or have in the recent past and I clarified through Oregon lottery today when making a complaint how the protocol works, as well as checked with friends to make sure I wasn't in the wrong before proceeding thru with a complaint over a VERY UNCOMFORTABLE situation. I've since reported this location and that employee to the Oregon lotto as well as plaid corporate and BBB to hopefully fix this issue. This employee should not be working here and I've seen him treat others customers similar to my interaction I'm actually surprised he still works here, I know people are desperate for employees but THIS AINT IT. All the other employees I've come across here are always nice and kind and not aggressive or just flat out rude. Clearly this guy hates his job and clearly should just quit instead of taking it out on cu. NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO WORK THERE. JUST AN FYI BUDDY.

The clerk was on a personal call. That is a major pet peeve.

The older lady is ridiculously off putting and rude. Not sure what happened in her life to lead her there but no need to take it out on customers.

This was my go to spot and on my way home after work. Now I go to the other location on Multnomah and 45th because the African American girl that works there makes it the worst experience every time. Before I decided to not visit this location anymore, I had bad experiences with her. Some memorable times were when she was screaming at a homeless man outside and cussed infront of at least 4 customers waiting in line. Another time was when I asked for a bag and she slid the bag off the counter towards me so I had to calmly pick up the bag and bag my drinks. I don't expect much coming to plaid pantry to begin with so I was really surprised at her incompetence and lack of common courtesy. I'm sure I'm not the only one to experience this from her but I won't be returning solely on her.
