Wow, tried the Deli Friday. Chickec breats were old and jojos were terrible. To top off Deli, customer service was horrid. Grumpy grey haired man was extremely unfriendly, and no thank you for order. Last time I visit Deli. Get some personal that at least smile.

Great grocery store all around. You can get a good amount of deals. Their fresh food is great if you're looking for a good quick meal.

I have been a faithful customer at the Murrayhill Safeway for 13yrs. However, the attitudes of some of the clerks there is crazy. I can spend my money somewhere else no customer should be rudely talked to and they are some nasty ckerks there. It's not worth me getting pissed and telling them what they can do! I'll just move on....

After visiting this location a number of times I have to say I am very unimpressed. I have been sold expired food a number of times and double charged for items. Customer service had been good when I first started shopping here but lately I have received a lot of attitude from the employees I've worked with and it feels like I was providing customer service to them. I will not be returning to this location.

Got gas from the station here-and although I would be happy to give them a better review for having much cheaper prices that chevron, one of the attendants put the wrong fuel in my car, causing it to misfire badly.

I'm a regular customer who lives in Murray Hill. This being said, I make almost all of the grocery shopping at this location and never ever return any item, even items that I purchased mistakenly or the EXPIRED ones. However, I bought an ice cream two days ago, and it was molded. I ended up taking it back due to the safety reasons. I decided to inform them what was going on in their freezers so they could make any precautions or change the temperature of their freezers. I'm their DAILY shopper! The clerk lady, didn't apologize; moreover, she blamed me that how do I know that you had been shopping here? Many stores are carrying this brand of ice cream!!!! Do you have got a receipt?!!! I stared at her with my eyes wide open. Are you literally arguing and blaming me for selling molded ice cream that could cause Salmonella and Campylobacter??? Seriously? Showing this attitude to your loyal customer??? I ended up asking for a store manager Stephanie. I gave her back the molded ice cream and explained how cheap her store became and that her employees were arguing and showing attitude over a $2 return! If someone doesn't have a receipt, you should be able to pull it up by using their credit cards and form of purchase. This could've been solved much nicer and in a better manner. I'll report this incident to the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection to stop unfair, deceptive, and fraudulent practices. I returned home, went to the recycle bin, and found the receipt. I'll file a complaint with a picture of your molded ice cream and a copy of my receipt.

The whole self checkout thing at Safeway's is a nightmare. Safeway's stores seem to have the most temperamental, touchy and finicky checkout equipment of all the major stores. The Safeway store at Murrayhill never has more than one checker, so you are forced to use self checkout. The middle aged lady that works the self checkout scanners is cranky, defensive and consistently irritated at us stupid customers who can't seem to follow the "simple" instructions. As the cranky, rude employee said to me today "if you would just read the instructions here you would be able to scan your stuff." Hey, I am sorry but if I have to read a screen full of instructions with 6 different bullet points on how to put a plastic sack on the scale without sending the machines into freak out mode, the equipment is simply too complicated!!!!! Sorry cranky, rude Safeway checker lady, I don't want to have to sit thru your educational speech. I am in a hurry and I just want to get my stuff and go! I avoid the Safeway stores like the plague now, because of their awful self checkout equipment. It's a shame, because I would prefer to shop at Safeway's for things like meat and produce, but I now do all my shopping at Walmart so I don't have to deal with the frustrating "sales-prevention" checkout equipment at Safeway's!!! Upgrade and simplify your equipment and hire nice people - the defensive, impatient, judgemental lady that you have working at the Murrayhill store needs a major attitude adjustment!!

I'm from Hawai'i and was in Beaverton visiting family over the summer. While there, my husband and I would often walk to this location to purchase our weekly groceries. It was a convenient five minute walk from where we were staying. Compared to the Safeway near our place in Hawai'i, this store is a great improvement. There's a ton of items to choose from (except for maybe the Asian stuff, but it's understandable knowing that H-Mart and Uwajimaya is only a quick 15-20 minute drive away). Besides the wide selection of goods, the cost is way cheaper here than in Hawai'i and with no tax, too. Additionally, I noticed the store was always clean and the meats and produce seemed fresh whenever we stopped in to shop. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a pleasant time shopping at this Safeway for our grocery needs. While here, do buy a lotto ticket on your way out! Even if you don't win, you'll still be supporting Oregon's public schools :)

7/5/21 8pm I was checking out & as usual my just 4 U discount didn't work. The cashier fixed what she could then called a manager over to help. There was an elderly, balding, Caucasian man wearing a "Fully Vaccinated" face mask & sleeveless shirt behind me. The cashier recognized him & made a comment about not seeing him in awhile. He started yelling at me to hurry up & move my transaction wasn't finished. He swore at me, called me names & kept moving his cart closer. After his 3rd round of nasty comments I yelled back. The cashier & other employees said nothing. I checked my receipt before leaving & I was still overcharged. I was waiting for a refund while he kept verbally assaulting me. A male customer intervened & told him repeatedly to stop. I asked for the manager's name & left. A female customers who heard him stopped in the parking lot to check on me & apologized. I decided to return my purchase. I went in & asked for the manager. The same 1 Steven Porter from earlier came up & I said I want him to get the groceries out of my car & a refund. He refused. I started talking to the guy who tried to help & Steven threatened to call the police on me. Another customer who heard it apologized. I went back to my car & got my purchase. I went back in & returned everything. As I left another lady stopped to check on me & apologized. I will never shop at Safeway or their affiliates again. The store should've intervened & told him to stop or leave. They never did. Apparently they don't value their female customers or protect them against being verbally attacked. I & several other people will be calling the corporate office & complaining. SHAME ON YOU SAFEWAY, STEVEN PORTER & EVERY EMPLOYEE WORKING WHO DIDN'T HELP! Thank you Nick, Zoe & the other concerned customers.

Always great customer service. The employees make it a point to remember regulars. Makes you forget you're in a bigger city.

Gas station closed at 6pm on a Thursday night. Stop accepting recycling. They just suck at customer service. I'll go to the Walmart and save fifty cents to a dollar if I need to go to the store. And make another trip to get gas and then another trip to recycle. What good is a fuel credit if you can't use it?

Their bakery items are okay and produce and deli aren't bad. All their groceries are so expensive compared to winco or Costco. Don't waste your money shopping here for convenience. Their gas prices are affordable though compared to chevron.

Clean but lame Asian food selection. Nice bakery though! We got here walking through Beaverton's snow! I still can't believe there's snow in Beaverton. Anyhoo, it was clean, well stocked but mirin here is 7 dollars for a tiny bottle. No thank you.

If you're looking for groceries, this isn't the place for you. They are out of EVERYTHING all the time. And if they do happen to have something you need, check the date, chances are it's expired. Also, check your receipt, nothing ever rings up on sale, especially clearance items. The only good thing about this store are the cashiers, they are very nice. It's unfortunate to have a grocery store so close to my house, yet I have to drive 10 minutes to the competitor.
