Bought a can of saddle conditioner. Never used it. Tried to return it and the store was unexpectedly closed. Tried again a couple weeks later and it was "past our return date" by 2 days. Refused to accept the return. Be careful doing business with people like this.
The condescending "well now you have a saddle conditioner you'll never use" was icing on the cake. Thanks dude.
Only cost me $12 to know I'll never be going back. Don't let it cost you more.

I have ordered from these guys a lot over the years and they are very professional and top notch. Always have a great selection and prices. I recently ordered a few things including a seal kit and couldn't find it, they immediately answered my email and sent out a replacement. Excellent customer service.

I've been in 2 times in the past 6 months or so, both times the same person assisting me (guy with accent) was rude, condescending, and talked over me in conversation. I understand this shop may have a good reputation for their online sales, but I am thoroughly unimpressed and very disappointed in their in-person manner. With so many options for bike shops in the area, and Amazon, I can say - without doubt - that I will not return to UC in the future.

Possibly the most poorly managed and scheduled bike shop in Portland. I traveled there on three consecutive weekdays during normal business hours for a simple bike repair, and was turned away each time for completely bogus reasons. They have an entire day where they dont even have the store accessible, but still advertise themselves as open. Then they have days where no mechanics are in the store, and they wont even allow you to check in. A simple flat tire repair seems like a no brainer to me, but these people have such poorly managed booking that when I finally was able to speak to mechanic they told me it would take them a whole week to fix a flat tire. That seemed ridiculous to me, so I went around the corner to a sports co op and what do you know, they fixed up my bike and I was on my way in 30 minutes. Do not give this poorly managed store your business.

Billy Sanborn the store manager is beyond helpful (visit 2024) Almost a bike wonderland for all things bicycles. Helpful on all counts and got what I needed. Knowledgable about their offerings. Nice they moved to Beaverton Vs PDX

Best shop in town. They have every part you need. If they don't have it in one of their warehouses, it probably doesn't exist. Very reasonable price on service (sometimes they do get backed up, as do all shops). I love that they don't try to throw the service kitchen sink at my bikes. They do what needs done and don't charge me for things I don't need. The service crew do an excellent job. They don't shy away from 'project' bikes either :) I've bought a few bikes here and point all my friends this way.

Absolutely love UC! Their parts inventory is excellent. Their prices are great. Their knowledge/skill in the service department is off the chart. I bought a mt bike from them early this summer and between the price and Billy & his team's giving me absolutely amazing customer service, I followed it up by buying an eBike from them. Wouldn't consider going anywhere else and will only take it to them for service.

Be careful. This shop is not about customer service first and foremost. got sold faulty tire (bad seam) from their stock. And it's expected that I wait for a manufacturer for replacement instead of them doing a straight swap to keep me on the road. *stock possibly not cycled out and old.

I hate leaving reviews but this has been such a pain….
Had broken parts on my bike a few times so I wanted to upgrade and asked them to sort me out with all the parts I would need (New Dub BB and crankset). Go to install parts and I was provided with a BB that is not dub equipped/compatible causing excessive side to side play in the cranks. Go in again to order Dub specific BB that wasn’t in stock at the time and wait a few days for it to arrive. Part arrives and I go to install it and low and behold I need a spacer kit to make it work. Call and ask if they have/can order spacer kit and they DONT EVEN HAVE IT LISTED IN THEIR INVENTORY! (Part number in picture) I can’t return the first BB I was sold because it had been installed and now they can’t help me get parts to complete installation of the correct BB. Now I'm out 125$+ on a parts I can’t use + a whole month of the summer has now passed without me setting my butt in the saddle of my bike once. If you are looking for parts expertise I highly suggest going somewhere else!

Excellent selection and prices, so great place to get things when you know what you want and they have it. But you may sometimes encounter grumpy service in the store.
