Bend Park and Recreation District provides park and recreation services for the town of Bend. It is noted for great programs, awesome workers, and well-cared-for equipment, facilities, and sports gear. The district features a very nice recreation area with great artwork, a loop trail, a lovely view of the lake, a dog park, a kayak launch, a playground, and picnic areas. Some concerns have been raised regarding trail management, specifically the prohibition of bikes on one wide trail while they are allowed on a narrow, rocky trail shared with walkers and runners. A suggestion was made to reconsider the timing of the popular July 4th Pet Parade due to extreme heat, with a proposal to move it to a cooler date for animal safety. The district's Therapeutic Recreation program receives high praise for the incredible and kind staff, with one family reporting astounding growth in their child and giving a 100% recommendation. Customer service is available seven days a week.
Great programs. Awesome workers. Truly cared for equipment, staff, facilities and sports gear. Great communication. Generally awesome for the town of Bend.

They have great artwork throughout the park. A nice loop trail that is a around a mile and a half, a lovely view of the lake, a dog park and area to launch kayaks or canoes. There is also a playground, picnic areas. Its a very nice recreation area.
