No client should walk away from an interaction feeling belittled, frustrated and angry due to poor customer service and lack of clear communication. I had an appointment scheduled with Megan. I showed up on time for my appointment on Tuesday just to be told that she had me down for Monday and since I was not there on Monday she was charging me a $50 no show fee and no one else could do my hair for at least a month. If she had reserved time for me on Monday rather than Tuesday, why not call me when I wasn’t there to see if I was still coming? I would have driven down in 5 minutes if she had but called - and I could understand the no show fee if she had attempted to reach out to me. Instead, she wasted my time - as I took time off for work on Tuesday to attend the appointment - and then had the audacity to be rude when I showed up for my appointment. Clearly there was a misunderstanding about the time of the appointment, but to handle it the way she did shows a severe lack in communication skills and customer service skills. She has cost Blue Star a client who has been getting her hair done there for years. I will not return there and will no longer recommend the salon to anyone.

Megan Sedres at Blue Star Salon has been my hair styling expert for many years. I have thick, coarse, gray hair which has always been a challenge for me and other stylists. Megan "gets" my hair! She also works with several others in our friends and family group; we all love her.

I called and asked if they did hair tinsel (I was going on a trip and I wanted it for the trip) and they said they did so I scheduled an appointment to go in and get the tinsel. The person who put in the 12 pieces of hair tinsel in was very nice but struggled to get the hair tinsel to stay. She said it was because my hair is so slippery. she gave me her phone number if they fall out. That night I went home and brushed my hair and they all fell out. Side note, i have gotten hair tinsel before at the fair it it stayed in for a month. I reached out to her and she was very apologetic and we scheduled a time for me to come back in and get them put in again. I went in and it took about 2 hours for them all to be put in again. She told me they would hold this time. 2 days later they had fallen out already. I was kind of over it at this point because I had spent a total of 3.5 hours doing this and I live on the other side of town. The salon is very clean and professional and the people there are very kind but it was definetly very disappointing that I spent $50 on something that didn’t last like it should.

OMG!! Sydney knocked it out of the park!! And with not much help from me... It had been months since I had my highlights and my hair cut. I just wanted to be blonde again. She asked great questions and was VERY patient with my indecisiveness. I am SO HAPPY with what she did!! Definitely recommend her and the Salon...I've already scheduled my next visit! Thank you Sydney!

Diana did a beautiful job on doing my blonde balayage! I had never had my hair dyed before and I couldnt have asked for a better result! The full weave/bayalage cost $175 and she blow dried and curled my hair too. Overall an amazing experience ive gotten so many compliments and it looks natural! Would recomend!!

Loni (owner) is one of the kindest, thoughtful, and wonderful people in Bend. She's so supportive of the community, and strives to help contribute positively to Bend and the surrounding area. After an initially bad experience at Blue Star Salon, I must say the owner Loni handled it so professionally! After my review about Jeni, Loni offered to fix my hair at no cost and informed me that Jeni had been fired. I was also sent home with some goodies and felt like this second appointment was above and beyond. I am so glad that my experience was taken seriously, and that things were made right! Including my hair. If you are not sure who to see here, I would recommend an appointment with Loni. She was very down to earth and compassionate which I appreciated, and obviously a great stylist too!
