Dr. Shaw and his staff are all very knowledgeable and kind. The office is calm and friendly and such a welcome change compared to other chaotic front waiting rooms we’ve endured. We went specifically seeking acupuncture for my 13 year old dog who wasn’t tolerating medications prescribed elsewhere. I am so very glad that we did! My dog is back to her normal self after a handful of treatments. I highly recommend Dr. Shaw

I am born and raised in Bend Oregon and have never had an experience locally like this one before. As my companion was in dire need of attention I rushed to DVM because my usual vets office was closed. I was in a frantic state. My dog is family and I consider him my child. I wasn't thinking straight and misplaced my wallet along the rush. When I arrived and needed help Emily a vet staff on hand turned me down immediately. Saying," I can't do anything for you without a form of payment first." Which wasn't of my concern at the moment sense my dog was in desperate need of medical attention. When you get rushed to the emergency room yourself you're not paying for everything before you get treated. That wasn't even the worst part of the incident on hand. Emily decided to take it upon herself to withhold my dog in the procedure room and not allow me to have him back as he was suffering. Things continued to escalate from there. My dog has been experiencing major health conditions. I've been doing as much as I can for the old guy as my vet recommended. I have only ever had to rush him to a vets office once before this incident and never had a problem like this. Emily Scavuzzo is an unprofessional, cold hearted and uneducated vet. I could continue to go on but you know what?.... Just don't waste your time or money here. It's not worth supporting a business that doesn't care about animals.

Dr Shaw is friendly, thoughtful, and has a real way with animals. My cat has always struggled with vets -- as most cats do -- but Shaw's friendly, confident way with her keeps her calm, and the care is top notch.
