Everything was great except the breakfast. Very disappointed. I assumed it would be like embassy suites since it is a Hilton property. Embassy suits has a great made to order breakfast with a great selection of food. Omelette are premade and in a warmer. Probably will stay there again even With that.

UPDATE: I appreciate the manager, Todd, reaching out to respond to my initial review. Full transparency, I haven't seen anything relating to the refund offered in said reply.UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: never heard from the manager. Dropped review by one star for leading me on.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm not sure if this is truly a review just for the hotel or of that of society in general. Our first impressions of Home2 Bend was that it was nice and easily earned it's 3 Star rating. As we were vacationing, we enjoyed the salt water pool (note: no hot tub), even if it was pretty basic. We found the rooms to be large, clean, and comfortable. The beds were comfortable as well. And then it happened: a seeming small heard of elephants began running back and forth across their large room above us. Judging by the cadence of the incessant pitter-patter it was likely actually a small child. The migration began at about 8:00 and by 10:30 we called the front desk to complain. This part I can sort of understand. Kids can be kids. What I don't get, and didn't read when planning our stay, is that Home2 is "pet friendly," which may as well read "more pet friendly than human friendly." In addition to the marathon-running small child, our neighbors also had what sounded like a horse of a dog and it barked it's encouragement of the running child continuously. And, as it turns out, calling the front office and asking them to tell a dog to be quiet didn't work.If the primary purpose of a hotel is to support restful sleep, Home2 failed us miserably as we were awakened countless times during the night. Then, on the way to breakfast the next morning, we passed a massive pitbull in the narrow hallway. It was leashed, and it's owner did pull it back away from our hunger-driven three year old as we passed and made our way to the continental breakfast area, but if I had known we'd be risking sleep and possibly dog attack encounters I would have chosen elsewhere. To society: leave your dog at home. Get a pet sitter. Use a boarding service. No, we do not love your dog as much as you think we do.To Home2: your pet policy ensures we won't be returning, even though your staff was amazing. Shout out to Matt in the breakfast area.

Pet-friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was "slight and minimal " but included. Will continue to stay there due to proximity.

I usually don't like staying in hotels in the States, but this hotel was excellent. Great service, location, and price. You can see the mountains from the west side, and everyone at the facility is great. Bend, Oregon is a beautiful town, don't ever change.

Bed bugs! Reported to manager who denied and said he would get back to us after "investigation " That was over 3 weeks ago. Bites (over 20) verified by physician. Room had spots and stains on flat surfaces like tables, footstool. Top of refrigerator had thick layer of dust. Room needed vacuuming. Look elsewhere. We only stayed there one night and nowhere else.

Just stayed four nights and couldn't have been more comfortable. The room and common areas were super clean. Room was convenient with full size fridge, dishwasher, and plenty of plates, cups, and flatware. Lots of little details like dish soap, etc. Can't forget to mention the staff --- friendly and helpful.Rooms: Common areas were cleaned and well maintained.Nearby activities: Shopping, dining.Safety: Felt very safe.Walkability: In the middle of restaurants and retail. Totally walkable.

Noteworthy details: We were given a HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE room because nothing else was available. We did not need an accessible room but WOW! this room is totality accessible for a solo person in a wheelchair. Everything was accessible. Bathroom open floor space, open under sink, grab rails in tub, seat in tub, low water controls, hand held shower, low soap dispensers, multiple grab rails around toilet, low towel bars, low light switches. Kitchen with open space under sink, shallow sink, low microwave, all dishes and cooking items were in low drawers, dishwasher and fridge accessible. Two queen beds with space around and between, 3 night stands, large full length mirror, low closet rod, lots of low drawers for storage, low lamp switches, closet with low bar and even the bracket holding the iron is low. In addition, the window has an electric motor powered blackout shade and sheer. The room also has a connecting door to the adjoining room. This room is a dream come true for a traveler using a wheelchair.BTW Room #300
