I just had a great experience at this Mud Bay. I didn't catch their names, but the two ladies working (12pm 6/16) were prime examples of Mud Bay culture.
As someone who knows the Mud Bay culture really well, (former employee) I was impressed that those two Muddies really represented what Mud Bay is supposed to be all about.
I had only been into this store one time before. The experience was absolutely disappointing and I really didn't want to come back in after that. If I wrote a review after that visit, I would have given Mud Bay a one star review.
It has been two or three years since I last visited the store. I took a chance and went in to check out products.
Within less than 30 seconds I was welcomed in by a warm friendly face. I was asked if there was anything I needed help with. I was just looking to browse at that moment, but I noticed the Muddies were still attentive and ready to help at any moment. The check out process was great. A Muddy immediately stepped to the register. She asked the typical questions retail employees ask to make sure the customer had a good visit. But she also was more friendly and personable She went the extra mile.
I wasn't planning on saying anything about my negative experience, but the ladies were so nice that I wanted to share with them how much I appreciated them for providing the excellent Mud Bay experience that should be a dependable thing when shopping at Mud Bay.
Both ladies were sympathetic about my last trip and thanked me for giving Mud Bay another chance. I was even given enough sample treats for my four giant breed dogs. Last time I asked for enough samples for each dog. My question was sort of swept to the side and I received one Biscuit as a sample treat. ??
Anyway, I know this review is getting way too long. I'm just really happy with my experience and had to share. Those two ladies definitely made up for it. I think they deserve a raise. ?

This place is terrific! They have everything your pet needs. Our English Springer was overweight and they (Nicolle) suggested a change to her food, which worked out very well. I will go nowhere else.

We get our specialized dog food here and love the option for treats. They have an amazing selection of everything from dog food to supplements to beds. Our pups always get treats when we visit as well and the staff is very friendly. It is pricier than your average pet store but we feel it is worth it for the selection and quality of goods.

I moved to Bend from Seattle and was relieved when I found out there was a Mud Bay location here! This location does not disappoint. They have friendly, knowledgeable staff that are always ready to help or offer recommendations and a solid inventory of options for dogs and cats, including options for other small animals. If they don’t have what you’re looking for in stock, they’ll order it! I can’t recommend enough.

Good boys are treated like royalty here. Incredibly kind staff that clearly are in the right job. Really appreciated all the extra attention they paid the Quin pup when his walk was cut short due to ice. Also cute birthday accessories that were tempting. Nothing like a little hat on a dog.

Very great staff. Super accommodating and fine selection of treats and quality pet food. I simply will not consider the big box stores if a friendly, clean and fun one exists. Dogs welcome.
