Thank goodness for Performance Authority! We are on a 5 month camping trip, pulling our travel trailer, and our truck gave a warning that it would only go 65 more miles because of a problem with the emissions system. After trying 2 other shops, and being told the soonest they could get us in was 2 weeks, we found Performance Authority and they were able to take care of our problem that day. What a huge help! We’ll be back on the road in the morning! Thank you ever so much to all the guys who helped us out!!

We were traveling from the Portland Metro area and our F150 was throwing oil pump codes. Performance Authority was able to see us and identify the problem before anyone else could even get us seen. They obtained the needed parts and accomplished the needed repairs quickly. Everyone in the office and shop was Professional, Kind, Patient and Informative. I will absolutely use them again if needed, and Recommend them Highly!

My son's truck was dying and restart after 10 minutes. First shop can't find anything wrong. We put a fuel filter as when we serviced it and didn't do then. Still dies. $180 took to performance authority suggested fuel pump. They didn't test ride or diagnose just installed. $570. Son test rode and didn't die but became sluggish and lost power. Two weeks later they diagnosed saying they called my son which no messages. He has a cracked intake manifold. Also switch, solenoid and gasket kit. Total $1,060. So far he has $740 in a truck worth $2,000. So I asked front desk person if it's permissible for me to round up parts to lesson the cost as im a parts person and my son isnt rich. He said he understood and yes. Instead of $500 in parts i got them for $130 ebay and salvage yard. Cheap but selling when done. Called a week later to see if they got parts ok. No i asked if I could call the next day yes. That call he got the owner or manager on and said i was pushy and they ate not a parts department. Pickup my truck and hung up. 45 years in parts and service ive never had this bogus of a conflict. Gave it one day and called back. Three times in one day they wouldnt pickup to see if all.parts are in and is there a bill pending and do we have to tow??? Called on my work phone twice asking for owner and was in hold as he was in then saying he wasnt. My son went to shop physically got all parts no bill( surprise) and they said the truck had to bevtowed as it is apart. Tiwed to another shop. All intact and stRts and two test rides runs good. $160. So $1,040 for all and it was a fuel pump. They didn't test etc. All the gut wrenching frustration. Misunderstanding and the worst customer service ever. This guy should be avoided and hopefully goes belly up for all we went thru.

My Powerstroke diesel truck was shifting erratically so I took it to Performance Authority Diesel. They diagnosed it as a problem with the aftermarket Gear Vendor overdrive unit. I was told that the mechanic didn't like them and the only way to fix the shifting problem was to remove it. That means removing all the electronics and getting a new driveline and tail piece to the transmission. That seemed a little severe so I took it to another shop. They fixed the problem which was a voltage drop because of the LED taillights I had installed. I feel like not only did I pay $145 for nothing, but because of this mechanic's bias against Gear Vendor I almost removed a perfectly good overdrive unit. I would have rather been told that he wasn't sure or that he thought it may be the Gear Vendor than to say for sure that was the problem. I rely on the Gear Vendor for towing and he almost convinced me to get rid of it when there was nothing wrong with it. I'm glad my reluctance to take their advice saved them the issue of removing the Gear Vendor only to have it NOT correct the shifting problem.

My husband and I were in Bend for a ski trip and our diesel pickup decided to start leaking fluid and stalling. We got ahold of Performance Authority 15 minutes before closing on a Fri night but they told us to head in anyways. TheCrew stayed late and had us up and running in an hour- can’t say enough good about this business. Didn’t price gouge us like they could have either. They saved our vacation

I think it speaks a lot when you know the fire trucks in Bend get worked on at Performance Authority. Across the board we were very happy with their diagnostics, follow through and fair rates. They went above and beyond and now the Dodge Cummins is running better than ever. Thanks!

The temperature dropped down to single digits and my 2003 Chevy diesel would not start. I called Performance Authority and and spoke to Rock. Instead of suggesting I have my truck towed to his shop, he walked me through a technique to get it going. It started and is running fine. I appreciate him sharing his wealth of knowledge to get me back to work instead of making a few bucks on me. That's kind of integrity has my business in the future for sure.Ray

Would recommend Performance Authority to anyone in the Bend area. They are very fair on their prices and didn’t have any surprise charges when I picked up my truck.
