Karen was amazing and saved the day tonight 5/26/25!! Thank you so much for answering the phone and coming over to unlock the doors to help me with such exceptional service with just 5 minutes until closing! I was out of town and ran out of dog food and unfortunately my picky dog would eat nothing else. Of course she could have gone a night without it but didn’t have to thanks to you!!

I went in to this Petco looking for a ferret. They had 4 of them. Unfortunately we found them in okay shape. Their nails weren’t trimmed. They also were filthy with bedding in their nose and ears. They also were missing some hair on their face. But I still wanted to see if I like any of them. So I went up to the lady and asked if I could hold the ferrets and she said you can hold them only if you’re looking to buy. I told her I was and she said no you still can’t hold them. I think that she was just being lazy because she was sitting by the counter doing nothing. I feel like the staff neglected the ferrets. Hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else!

Adopted a cat. She was free, I was told due to possibly needing dental care when she's older. She became sick the same night I took her home. She was dehydrated and had diarrhea so bad she couldn't get to her litter box in time and it was in the same room as her. She's also had vomiting. I have taken her to the vet twice for treatment. 800$ i vet bills so far. I went in to let the petco staff know and they really didn't seem to be surprised or care. and just told me i should tell the shelter they got her from. I wasn't expecting them to pay my vet bills or anything but some concern would have been nice. I just think people should be aware that there's a good chance the cats are not being cared for to an appropriate degree before they choose to bring one home.

Prices have gotten so out of control.. pet stores, vets, etc. Have taken it completely beyond reasonable. Petrol is no exception.
