I have worked with nearly 20 realtors over the years, with about 15 different transactions. In the past, I usually had to lead the negotiations and provide creative solutions to whatever realtor I was working with. Working with Becky Seim at Preferred Residential was a whole new positive experience. She successfully advocated for me time and time again without me needing to be involved. She suggested ideas I had not thought of and her work saved me 1000's of dollars AND at the same time kept the transaction moving forward with all parties happy. That is a rare talent in real estate to consistently get great results via a win-win attitude. I had the same experience with Preferred Residential when prior to purchasing my property through them I also used their executive rental services. The property I rented through Preferred was very well managed, clean, and reasonably priced for owner and for me as renter. If any small items arose Preferred quickly found solutions that left me and the owners both feeling good. Great management. I highly recommend.

I have been using Becky & Dan at Preferred Residential with my rental properties for many years. They have ALWAYS been responsive and professional and fair. Rental turnover time has always been a minimal number of days as they have new renters lined up well ahead of time. Out of pocket expenses have also been low as they are very practical and have reasonably-priced professionals to do the work.

We had a great experience with Preferred Residential and Becky and Dan were very responsive. We had zero problems with rental payments, return security deposit, and timely communications. I have been in real estate for many years and I know it's all about customer service. They treated us the way they would want to be treated. It was a completely positive experience and will use them again.

Becky is so easy (and FUN! ;-) to work with, she goes above and beyond to make things happen, and she always keeps us informed. Becky and the Preferred Residential team have been terrific in helping us prepare for and locate renters for our home in Bend. They have been a godsend in coordinating various improvement projects to the property to make it the most appealing to potential renters. We already have two month-long executive rentals booked and are confident that there will be many more to come!

Becky and her team were by far the most outstanding property management company we have worked with to date in Bend.We have been renting for 2 years now. We have been in multiple locations and worked with multiple property management companies.From the tour to the application to quickly expediting a move-in date for us, they were top-notch.I really can't express enough, that as I tenant, I wish all home owners looking to rent their properties in Bend would chose this company. There are so many Property Management companies here that are completely horrible to work with, and the process is painstakingly draining to rent from them. I highly recommend you go with Preferred Residential and their exceptional staff. ( Koby is outstanding and quickly addresses any needs )You won't be disappointed.

Unfortunately when we moved out preferred residential took 30 days to return our deposit. After they returned part of it they docked us for things that were not our problem. Example: being charged for light bulbs when we told them of an electrical problem. We paid to have the house cleaned professionally and they docked us for cleaning, the house was in better shape when we moved out than when we moved in.

Preferred manages and has bought and sold several of my properties in Bend, and are in fact working on a sale and managing many now. All I can say is that these guys are the best. Here's why: 1) They do a great job of managing the tension between landlord and tenant equitably, and effectively. They know their tenants and who they are dealing with. Everybody wins. They will be real with you if you are with them. 2) Becky has found me several good properties to buy that have outperformed the super hot market. She is proactive and ambitious, but not the least bit pushy. You will wish she called you more. 3) Really seamless professional and personal property management. It probably helps that the partners are married, but communication is not a problem. Their staff is very personable and responsible. Say something to any one of them, and you can be sure the message makes it to the appropriate party. I have to say, in my experience in Bend, professionalism like this is very noteworthy.

Dishonest, rude, and snooty. Denied us to rent a house when we make four and a half times the rent amount, gave the reason of “unverifiable income” when they reached out to an employee, NOT my corporate office. Would not accept pay stubs, or direct deposit info as proof of employment. When I pressed and asked questions for clarity and what I needed to get them, I was told I was aggressive, making her uncomfortable and she would be ending the call.

Wish I could give zero stars! Rather than give us our notice and prepare a vacant property to be sold, Preferred Residential attempted to swindle us young and inexperienced renters into believing we were supposed to clean for her arranged showings (while still paying full rent), these being at all hours of the day/night and intruding heavily on our personal space. Prospective buyers/agents would show up WITHOUT 24 hours notice (as is the law), huge red flag, but we had no recourse as I mentioned we were young and broke. She never showed her face at the property once having her husband Dan play good cop and facetiously pretend to be “cool” with us, while taking note of any tiny thing they might use to gut our security deposit (which they promptly did as soon as we left, but that was expected as I’ve come to learn about Bend rental agencies).
Thanks for the intro into Bend real estate! Now we understand why you are referred to as slum lords. Give your tenants (young, old, rich, poor) the same amount of respect and it will be returned. Plain and simple.

I am an excavation contractor and septic installer that works with many realtors in Central Oregon. The most common use of my services to a realtor is septic repairs like tank replacements and drain field reconstruction. Most brokers will simply hand out my info to their seller and put it on them to contact me and manage their own repairs. Becky, Dan and their team do it the way a repairs like this should be done. By contacting and managing the project themselves I get timing, access, details and payment from someone who understands the nature of my work. I know it seems like a simple process but if you hire a realtor to sell your home or manage your property you should not be expected to have to deal with contractors in an effort to pass inspections. We are difficult people and working directly with a knowledgable realtor instead of an angry homeowner makes my job much easier. Thank you Preferred Residential for the work and the ease of getting it done.

Rental companies do not really have a good reputation as they usually treat their renters like trash or do not communicate, or won't fix broken items within a unit, Or, or, or.... This company and specifically Kobe consistently go way above and beyond ANY rental organization I've ever heard about or had the displeasure to work with. I cannot say enough good about them. Communication..110%, being able to trust them ..110%, getting broken things fixed or replaced..110%. this company make it's renters a priority and if I could 50 stars I definitely would.
