Awful, they would not give me my prescription, and constantly changing the story as to why. Incompetent, and they have hung up on me multiple times. They are slow, and not the least bit helpful. Avoid.

Horrific customer service. Instead of helping folks with medically necessary prescriptions (what prescriptions aren't?) the staff of this pharmacy gave two options after their computer system was hacked: 1. leave without your prescription (not an option when their policy is that you cannot pick up a prescription until you're down to a week before you've run out and the pharmacy staff just told you it'd be up to a week before "they" fix it). or 2. pay CASH for your prescriptions. UNACCEPTABLE. So many people are on fixed incomes and cannot afford to pay cash for something their insurance covers. Safeway created the problem, Safeway staff are responsible for fixing the problem. Call the insurance company directly, do whatever it takes fix the problem. NEVER setting foot in a Safeway again. And will be relating this story to everyone I encounter. The Safeway Store Manager dug in deep to "we cannot do anything" when I spoke with him on the phone. Horrible. Customer. Service. from everyone there. Also, I ended up speaking to the Store Manager because the Pharmacy Department was not answering the phone, nor was their answering service taking messages - I wonder why?

Posting this in hopes it will sway at least one person away from this pharmacy. It has been dangerous for my son (4 years old, type 1 diabetic) to have his prescriptions filled here. They have been filling his prescription incorrectly for months. No matter who I talk to they treat me like I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’ve been put on hold and never attended to. I’ve been cut off mid sentence in almost every interaction. I’ve been hung up on. I am a human who has a son with a chronic illness. The burden of illness is already heavy then you add insurance battles and rude pharmacists and techs on top of it? Maybe it’s just a broken system but PLEASE do not use this pharmacy. Save yourself the wasted time, trouble, and heavy emotions. I am leaving this pharmacy exhausted and sad honestly.

It really warms one's heart when you get premium service. Safeway south store was Albertsons, are doing all the right things a business should do, particularly the pharmacy. Thank you Safeway ? Happy Holidays ?

As all of you are, I’m a busy person. I don’t have time to stand in their absurdly long line. And they don’t seem to ever answer the phone so I can at least ensure my prescriptions are going to be ready when I get there.

I have been calling for the past 2 days in regards to getting my prescription filled and no one has answered the phone. And no one has returned the messages I've left. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a good pharmacy around here.

Over all good service here. I did have one odd experience where my RX needed a prior Auth and when I called to check in on it the pharmacist said I would be better off taking my rx elsewhere because they probably wouldn't be able to fill it??? But the next day got a notification that everything had gone through and the rx was ready so that was odd. But otherwise they send text reminders which is nice and the wait is never more than a few people deep. So compared to costco pharmacy (who won't even answer your call unless you call corporate) and Walgreens where you need several hours to wait it's pretty great.

Paid $65 bucks for a second propane tank, so if I ran out of my first I’d have more (cause a lady loves her BBQ), and the courtesy clerk at Safeway gave me an empty one! Put it on today to grill some ribs and it lasted an hour and half! Called them and they won’t refund me or give me a full one cause it’s been a week. ??♀️ What a joke. Guess I have to make sure to shake the darn thing and make sure it has a cap on it. Shame on me for expecting the courtesy clerk to know what they were doing when they loaded it into my car for me. ?

I never post reviews. This pharmacy is unreal. The people are irritated and rude and so they decide to put that on the poor person who’s just walking up to pick up their prescription. 24hrs notice, 4hours notice, your prescription won’t be ready. So….just don’t bother.

Pharmacy took almost 24 hours to fill a critical prescription after they told me they would have it ready by COB (4 hours). Blamed it on their "systems being down"
