Now we're back down to a one star and it dtays that way... You think you're discounting through these so-called coupons. But how do you live with yourselves. You may be thinking about all the young people that know how to use their cell phones and go in and hunt down the so-called coupons that you have on the shelf. But most elderly people are not able to find this on their cell phones so congratulations on catering to the young people and ripping off the elderly. Apparently Safeway likes to sit around a corporate table and figure out ways to make it look like they're saving money but not actually helping them do so. Here's a novel idea. Scrap the so-called Digital Coupons where you have to hunt them down and just give it to them for crying out loud. I'm done shopping with you and 14 other of my family members are done shopping with you. And guess what every one of us are going to spread the word because Walmart does not do this to the elderly. I have three words. SHAME ON YOU!
UPDATE. Today I stopped by and found the price has been lowered to match Walmart on the milk. Thank you.For now I am raising to 3 stars.
We have been faithfully shopping here till now. While recently stopping to pick some things up in Walmart I walked by there milk coolers and to my shock I discovered that their prices on the half gallon milk brand that I usually purchase at Safeway was $2.50 less then all of the Safeway stores in our area. Your price gouging is ridiculous and Criminal. I paid $5.40 for a half gallon of organic milk at Walmart and Safeway's prices climbing to almost $8 for a half gallon. And this is just one item so I would strongly suggest to everyone living in Bend look for other places you'll save a lot more money.

I spent over an hour earlier today trying to get my prescription filled through the East bend Safeway and no one ever answered the phone. Someone did answer the phone in other departments but they would transfer me to the pharmacy and then it would eventually go to a voicemail that was not set up. I eventually gave up on the East bend Safeway and called over to this location. The pharmacy answered the phone on the first ring. The person who filled my order was incredibly helpful. I will not use the East bend Safeway again. I lost over an hour. Just trying to get someone to answer the phone. This Safeway clearly is much better run than the East bend Safeway. Nice work

I don't usually leave reviews but I have to say, the customer service at this location was the worst I've seen in all my years of shopping at Safeway. I asked where the restroom was and was given the code. I had to have it repeated and the gal was clearly annoyed. Then, the worker at the deli was very grumpy, and apparently we were taking up too much of his time after we told to help the other customers. Then the checkout worker was also personality plus!

I’m not sure who the lady was that was standing behind the customer service desk I walked up I wanted to purchase $30 in lottery tickets. She looked at me and got on the phone so I waited and waited. Five minutes past she was talking about nothing so I pretended to walk away. I turned my back out of her sight. She hung the phone up and I came back from around the corner, and then she just looked at me wouldn’t ask me my I help you what can I do for you? Anything she turned her back walked into that little office whatever that thing is called this is the worst I’ve ever been treated at any grocery store.

This is for the floral department. Safeway has the best flowers. They are better than most floral shops. They definitely last longer. And a very good variety. So if u need flowers go to Safeway. They smell good too. Enjoy.

¾ of all produce shelves were empty. Never before had I seen this-even during and after bigger snow storms. I thought for a minute I was in North Korea, Kiev or Russa. Someone please explain this.
