Out of all the banks I used in the past. I am more frustrated with SELCO due to there miscommunication and the way the attack there customer with extra charges and hold BO accountabilities. I was lied to about they provide insurance and that it will be a 12 month policy. Which in the end it was a 6 months and double the amount and it wasn’t real insurance when the lady told me it was full coverage. I would’ve never gotten their insurance knowing it wasn’t full coverage. So now, instead of paying 419.00 amount for my car payment. It turned into 922.00 w/out insurance. They said since they sent it by mail on the details of the policy (which I never received) that it’s out of their hands and they can’t help me out. It’s even more fishier when I receive email from them all the time but just this one incident I don’t receive an email! So instead of claiming their faults the gentleman on the phone told me they can but I can talk to a loan officer on the difference to pay separate the payments! No! I’m not going to pay for something that’s t my fault. They know they can do whatever and I have to pay! This is theft. Oh wait there’s more! When I refinanced with them they messed up on my insurance from the beginning and charged me $3200ish and yes got that fixed but then had to pay the interest on that and the administration fees! Gets even better! Once I did except they’re “insurance” they told me they changed the policy to 6 months starting in August but covered me for June and didn’t process the policy til August 21! A little sketchy if you ask me! Then messed up on the payment for a year policy and once I found out that it wasn’t real insurance and went with progressive. They then discovered I owe them even more money for the insurance policy. This is disgusting and stressful banking I have ever dealt with in my life. I urge anyone that gets finance for a car look at other options or banks before using them. Talked to a couple of friend and they did the same thing to them! No accountability what so ever!!

Too big to have good service, to small to have good self serve features. Also won't allow debit cards on a company account for anyone but the owners, how are you supposed to run and grow a company?

Friendly staff who took the extra steps to make the loan for my out of town vehicle purchase go smoothly. Plus thier interest rate best out multiple online lenders and dealer lender networks.

I'm going to have to rate selco one star as now I am going to have to switch banks because they are dropping the ball on customer service and I will not stand for that this is the reason for this review. I don't know what's going on with selco I will not go into detail but you lost another customer. You can save me the chain letters I will not answer anything or anybody from this bank again goodbye.

I have been with selco for ten years or something and I can say that unless they refuse me as a customer I will never bank anywhere else. They have so many incentives for youth to start their financial health at such an early age it's an absolute relief to know that I don't have to tackle such an important life lesson by myself. Thank you to selco community credit union for helping me achieve my own financial stability. We appreciate you!

I have been a member at Selco for years. Yesterday I came in with a large heavy container of coins. Employee Colton helped me through the entire process. It was his lunch time, but he stayed to help finish the process and didn't even gripe. We need more people like him in customer service! Thank you so much and keep smiling!

This has happened to me 3 times now. I show up during their advertised business hours and they have their doors locked with a piece of paper saying they are closed for an hour. It is incredibly inconvenient when you don't live in town and have to drive in a ways.

I had a wonderful experience getting my home loan and home owners insurance through Selco. My mortgage loan officer, Tim Booher, was so attentive and kept on top of everything. He made the process stress-free. I highly recommend going through Tim for your home loan.Bryan Thomas helped with our insurance and made sure we got a policy that fit our needs perfectly. They all went above and beyond.

I've never waited for less than 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone to talk to me. Absolutely infuriating. My account got locked and I had to go to the actual physical bank to resolve it because selco couldn't pick up the phone soon enough for a Chase Bank representitive to talk on a 3 way conversation with us. A bank with horrible customer service like Chase Bank will answer the phone in 5 minutes, selco will take 30. Selco is one of those community banks that spend a lot advertising the idea that they're customer friendly but it's just a ploy for customers. I'm going to move my assets the soonest convenient chance, Selco has been horrible and horribly slow all 3 times I've called in to get help. Local Service, yeah right

They're closed from 11:30 to 12:30. If you, like me, are disabled and have to walk there to access their business then you should avoid that hour because they have no benches outside and they've got a wasp nest in one of their windows.

Was on hold for over 40 minutes before I was able to speak with someone. Once I got through the rep was fine, but this is a ridiculous hold time for a credit union, might as well take your money to chase because the customer service level will be the same

Impossible to ever get a hold of anybody on the phone. I’ll sit on hold for 30 min and then they cancel my call. Has happened so many times to me including today. Not impressed.

They literally never answer their phones. You just loop around forever. I called right at opening time and sat on hold for 30 min. They would pick up and place me right back on hold several times.
