Awesome place to get gently used children's clothing at a good value. The shop is clean and there is a little play area for the kiddos while shopping. Great place!

This review is just to give potential sellers a heads up of what to expect. I showed up there one day asking to consign items. Yes I used the naughty word “consign” because that’s what on their website. The woman looked at me with disgust and informed me “this is not a consignment shop” and then went on to tell me I would need to make an appointment and the only availability was a month out during a weekday. I was really taken back by the entire interaction and process. I also had bags of amazing kids items. Blundstone boots, clothes bought from Hopscotch in Bend, Keen, Patagonia, Stio…it was just beyond my imagination that a small business would turn me away when the shop was empty. I’m sure they have valid business reasons but how I felt as a potential customer and seller was terrible. I did make the appointment giving them a second chance (pun intended). A few days before the appointment the reminder email states you can’t use any plastic bags. Only paper bags or special bins. It had me second guessing the way I brought in the items. What kind of bin?Would I be scolded again and turned away if I didn’t bring the stuff in the correct way? I’m sticking to Gear Fix, Latitude 40, and Facebook Marketplace for now.

I have shopped here and it's fine. However, I took in some items for resale. Not worth the time. First I needed an appointment, no problem, but then I'm told to leave the items and come back another day for my money. Again, no problem. I was paid about 10% of retail value, and was told if I didn't come back the very next day for the cash I would only get store credit. The two trips weren't worth the amount I was given. It's easier (and kinder) to donate.

I have found Stone Soup Kids to be a great option for selling items! Stone Soup Kids = an organized, responsive, fair, and safe selling experience. Thank you!

I like the store as a buyer since it's clean, and well organized. As a seller I unfortunately agree with prior reviewers that it's a waste of time to drop things off. I don't bring used items there to make money, but if I consider the time it takes to make the appointment, get the items ready, drop off, pick up and then only get a few dollars and bring 90% of the items back home, I rather use the local Facebook groups to gift them or drop them off at a charity thrift store. I assume she has to be this picky to stay in business but I this is not a system that works for me. Works well if you have lots of time on your hands .

I've been in maybe 7 times, and I always want to like it more. As a shopper, I find the prices to be a little on the high side, which is fine, but pay attention to the sticker prices. As a seller, I find her pennies-on-the-dollar offers to be not worth the effort of making an appointment. I'll be doing hand-me-downs and donating from now on.

Absolutely fantastic second hand kids store! Everything is in excellent condition and extremely reasonable prices. Very fair prices for selling your kids’ clothes to the store as well.

We always love stopping in to shop. Lots of kids clothes and toys plus some women's clothes. Friendly staff and clean store! New location is great!

You might not want to waste your time trying to consign here. I brought in two bags of barely used babyGap clothes, great condition Solly wrap carrier (retails for $70), Little Unicorn sleep sack (retails for $40), etc. and she didn’t want any of it. Totally understand that it’s her call as to what she wants to take, but meanwhile, the toddler clothing that was for sale was neither cute nor in great condition, with a very small selection. She did have a lot of good toys, so that might be more worthwhile if that’s what you’re looking for. But overall a disappointing/strange experience — I’ll be sticking with buying & selling on Facebook Marketplace instead!

This is the BEST children's consignment store I've been in. I love a bargain, but I also love clothes that will last BOTH my boys. The quality of the things she accepts is like buying new and they are great prices! I love coming here every time I'm in town! Love love love!

Great find for quality children's gear, plus the owner goes above and beyond to inquire into what you're looking for and put items on hold!

Great customer service and prompt response to questions! They were able to ship items I saw online and sent me tracking info. It arrived safely and was well packaged. The owner even checked to make sure the package arrived safely.

It is helpful to know what this store is and is not so as not to be disappointed like some previous reviewers. This is not a thrift store and their clothes are not cheap. They only accept brand name, high quality items that are either very gently used with no visible signs of wear and tear or new items that simply didn't work for someone else. The store is clean, well organized, offers a wide variety and does not have that funky second hand store smell that you'll find elsewhere. The owner has a solid business model in place and she knows how to price things so that the consumer is saving money and the employees can make a living and keep running a nice shop. Recently, I bought a brand new Halloween costume with $32 tags on it for $12, a pair of girls boots that looked almost new (totally clean soles) that Nordstrom sells for $40 for $16 and a pair of Women's Ugg's still in the box with brand new looking soles (I don't believe these were ever worn for $86. $86 seems like a lot until you look online and see that they retail new for $220. Again, I would be surprise if these had ever been worn. Nothing I got was "cheap", but, it was a fantastic value for what it was - new or like new brand name items. I actually was able to use store credit from items I had brought in for all of this too! You may not always get the price you want for items you bring in but they have a business model that works and it is a great way to re-home things you don't need and practice sustainability. You can get your kiddos in on it too so that they can learn a bit about buying and selling their things. If your looking for $1 shirts, this won't be your place. But if you want a pleasant shopping experience and like to support local businesses, this is a wonderful store!
