Disappointed, I have ordered Cedar CHIPS from Mt Scott Fuel for years for my 5 dogs run area... I would order 1 unit at a time (7.4 yard) as its a large area.. This time I decided to pick up the Cedar CHIPS and the product was more like Cedar MULCH in size...The pics are from my last delivery vs today's pick up..I should have stopped the guy from loading the next bucket after I saw how tiny it was... I called to see if there was an error and they said this is what they have as Cedar CHIPS now (new vendor?)... They offered me to return it but driving back gas and unloading seemed like too much... I have nothing against MT Scott just double check if this is the product you really want. These tiny chips will degrade before next year, its the PNW so its a waste of time and money....

BUYER BEWARE…Please read this review before you buy from Mt Scott Fuel in Boring Oregon. We were quoted a pallet price on fire logs over the phone mid-week and asked if they had plenty of pallets in stock. The rep replied yes, we have many pallets in stock. I said great, we will be in on Saturday to buy 2 pallets and the rep said, “sounds good”. As promised, we showed up Saturday with trailer in tow to make the purchase only to find the total to be 40 dollars more than what we were quoted. I asked the rep if they would be willing to honor the quoted price from 2 days previous and the rep refused. This seems to be a (bait and switch) tactic used by this company as we recall it happening once before at this same location. While we understand liquid fuel being a commodity controlled and adjusted by the market on a daily basis, we do not understand wood fuel (a lumber bi-product) on pallets in a warehouse being subject to the same volatility. This company has already paid a set price for the multiple pallets in stock and they quoted us a price based on what they previously paid for the stock allowing for a margin of profit. That said, Mt Scott Boring has zero honor and is willing to price gouge their customers to make a quick buck. For us, it is not so much about the extra 40 bucks, it is about the principle of honoring a quoted price and doing good business with the local customers who support them. So, there you have it, if you buy from Mt. Scott Fuel in Boring, we would recommend calling every 5 minutes, even in transit right up to the minute you get there and STILL, they might crank the price up in your last fifty feet to their door because they simply have no honor. We do not recommend Mt. Scott Fuel in Boring Oregon for your fuel needs and hopefully this post will spare some of their future customers from this kind of dishonorable bait and switch price gouging.

Been a customer for several years. Great service. Great prices. Great quality. I always laugh when I go to Home Depot and see people buying multiple bags of compost/potting soil. For the price of just a few bags, you can go to Mt Scott Fuel and buy a whole truck load.

Fantastic experience! From email to calls, everyone at both locations were very helpful and gave great customer service. 4-way soil blend looks fantastic and the delivery driver was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend Mt. Scott, will definitely be using them again!

I've been getting scoops of fire wood here for years. I got a scoop this week and it was considerably smaller than usual. I called them to ask if the scoop size had changed, they said no. I then came to the website reviews and see that I'm not the only one that has noticed the smaller scoop size. Please do better!!! I'd hate to have to find another company.

Angry incompetent truck driver: We had a load of gravel delivered last year and the truck driver proceeded to dump the load on our gate. Didn't apologize. Just drove off. This year we decided to have some 4 way soil delivered--5 yards. I spent the day before making sure the delivery could be dropped 30 feet off the driveway--sent photos and got the all good. Driver shows up, and says he'll try and if he can't make it-- he'll just dump it on the lawn. He states that I told them yesterday that was ok--I never said anything close to that. He proceeds to say, "Do you want it or not!!". I sent him on his way. The guy needs to retire--he's bad at his job. Steer clear!
