Had a nice stay on the boat in this marina. Note- you can only stay 3 nights on your own boat here even if you stay a week. Rates are posted clearly online and are accurate. If you come on the weekend or after hours you will have no idea what the code is for the gate or how to get a shower key. There is a number you can call for 24/7 service but sometimes they don't answer. Point being- try to collect and anticipate what info you will need before you get there and don't expect the staff to - they don't. Overall lovely stay and would stay again.

Just WOW! Mouth of the Chetco River. Crab fishing with overhead casting!!! Great restaurants there, too.

The harbor is great, plenty of nice places to eat from leisurely outdoors to dining at restaurants, a little coffee shop or shopping for something fun. My stylist works there too! A barber is a rare commodity in this tiny town.

This is and amazing place. Everyone wants to be here, making getting situated here difficult, but worth it.

Rub down, needs more friendliness lessons and more operating hours. Protected Harbor.

The absolute most Beautiful, clean, Harbor/Beach. You can bring your chairs and sit, while watching the waves crash in, the whales swim by, and even people watch.

VERY poor customer care.CANNOT take shower when wanted!!My husband and I pay $1,800 per year to moore our boat in the harbor. We recently stayed on our boat that has no shower, we had decided to stay there because the water main at our house broke. The harbor bathrooms are locked with a key code. In the past that has been shared with us. My current code did not work. I located another boat owner who shared it with me. Once I entered the building there is NOW a metal gate over the bathroom door (it wasn’t there last time I used it) with padlock. A note on padlocked gate says on Saturday or Sunday call ‘this’ phone number to reach Harbor staff for key. It was 11 am on a Sunday. Called the number and got a message saying ‘No Voicemail has been set up, this person is not available.’ I called 4 times over the following couple of hours. The beach front park has showers but those also have a keypad lock and for people paying for a campsite.Monday morning I called the office to get the whys, wherefores and to complain. I had to leave a message - NO ONE has returned my call. This set up is completely ridiculous! How are workers on boats supposed to stay clean? You are at the mercy of some Port worker to drop what they’re doing to come down with a key and let people into the showers. VERY disappointed with our experience with the Port of Brookings. ?

To get our "sea legs" back, we took our kayak on the Chetco River estuary. Paddling 1 1/2 miles back and forth was a good first time run in a while. Being that it was a Thursday, the harbor was uncrowded and designed so that it was easy to put in our kayak or something much larger. Launching cost $5 and could be paid at the kiosk with a credit card or coins. Bathroom facilities were clean and we also saw a large fish cleaning station.
