So just want to lead with, I'm not from the area but I'm on contract in the area, and I have been selling on poshmark for years. Poshmark shipping is for USPS always, so I have been to MANY post offices MANY times, including just yesterday. I travel for work and often take my items with me if I have to leave home on a weekend. I always prep my packages, and they always happily tape it for me. Like, every single box for YEARS. I am not exaggerating when I say this lady in Brookings was the rudest, snottiest usps employee ever when I asked her to tape the top of my (small) box, instant tantrum about how USPS doesn't do that and that's why they are cheapest, no USPS does that (funny that I go several times a week and yes they actually do) Yada yada Yada. Ends up doing it anyways after acting embarrassingly extra about it. Lady, I'm so sorry you hate your job that much that you would be that miserable and rude about two strips of packing tape. Thank God I'm not from here and never have to come back because honestly, ew. Adult tantrums are so gross. 5 stars to literally every other USPS I've ever been to that tape my boxes with a smile.

Don't expect to get things on time especially because it's brookings. But this one blonde woman that works there is so rude , that if need a package shipped I definetly go elsewhere. If you've been there you probably know who im referring to...

My Macy order and another package both which were addressed with both the physical and the USPS BOX number on the order package was sent back for incorrect address.

This post office is amazing and it's because of the manager Tammy there!! She is absolutely one of a kind, she went above and beyond to help me with a really stressful situation when it came to my daughters package for her bday! If it weren't for her help my daughters gift wouldn't have made it to her on time!! I highly recommend going through Tammy for all of your postal needs!! I wish I lived closer by as well because I'd definitely be buying her some flowers!! She totally made my entire month and my daughters bday even better!! Thank you Tammy! USPS is so lucky to have you on their team!!!

I get so mad that you guys close the lobby at 530 and don’t open it sundays. Makes it really hard for me to pick up my mail in a normal fashion. Then I remember that I’m paying for that service and get more upset. I know it has to come from the homeless problem in the area; why can’t BPD protect our post office from vandalism and squatters? Why won’t usps deliver to my door? They say I have to put a mailbox in my neighbors yard?5 stars because I like you guys and I know it’s not really your fault- but the system is broken and I just want my mail.

Packages don’t usually make it all the way to my door. It would be very easy to because the personal deliveries from other services always arrive.

This post office is the worst. I had a package delivered to my son in Brookings. Apparently they don’t deliver to his residence so they were preparing to send the package back to the sender. Luckily we intercepted it from going back but had to pay $18.00 for them to hand it over to us over the counter. I have never heard of charging for this especially $18.00. Thats ridiculous! I have heard many other complaints about this post office. And your hours suck as well. Hope you get things figured out soon!

The post person never delivers my packages, eventhoughthere'sa box next to the mail box designated for bulky packages. I work long hours 40 minutes away from home. When I get home they're closed. They're closed on Saturdays. They leave no options for me to get my packages.

Waited all day for rural carrier to deliver a certified letter. At 5pm in a Friday night I went to the mail box unit and discovered the carrier left a "notice to pick up certified letter" at post office. Carrier never attempted delivery and rushed through her day without doing the job. Because post office was closed at 430 I now need to wait 4 days to retrieve the 1st class piece of mail I needed on Friday. Very poor service and poor customer service at least once a week as our mail is continuously misdelivered. I am a retired Postmaster and never complain but it's time the postal service takes a close look at the Brookings Oregon 97415 Post office.
