I drove one hour to get here. Got here at 5:55 PM. Two team members were inside and store said they were closed. I knocked on the door and they wouldn’t let me in and help me. I would give them a one star!

UPDATE: ***By them responding to my scathing review and reaching out to offer me a refund and take me up on my wish to face the cooks is the most generous and stand-up response a consumer can hope for after an incident like this. Kudos! I was upset when I wrote the review, now I’ve softened my language to not be quite the a-hole I was last night.***
They had a booth at the Harefest festival at the fairgrounds. Sadly, their brisket was literally inedible strips of very tough meat.
I love supporting small local businesses, but a blaring practice like this needs to be called out publicly.
Nice people, clean booth, portion was huge, and they were professional, but their tough dry meat overshadowed this.
I’d love to sit down and share a meal with whomever is responsible for authorizing this meat to be served to the public.

The French dip was so good! The perfect amount of meat and the sour dough bread was just right. We will be coming back for sure. They were so kind to me, my mom, and my 1 yr old son.

I recently had a profoundly disappointing experience at this meat shop. Despite clearly articulating my specific requirements over the phone, the staff demonstrated a remarkable inability to accurately measure the size I needed. Their demeanor was rude, lethargic, and utterly unhelpful. In contrast, I visited another butcher in a nearby city that met my needs precisely. While I am a strong advocate for supporting local businesses, this regrettable encounter ensures I will not be returning.

Don't make orders with this place they will cancel your order with no notice especially on people's birthdays knowing that it's somebody's birthday and then all they do is send a automatic text message to somebody telling them last minute that their order is canceled literally 20 minutes before you're supposed to pick up the order

All I can say is I wish every town had a place like this and owners as dedicated to the quality. Like Matt's Meats in Longview WA, an amazing butcher and custom meats spot. The deli had an amazing Reuben, the jerky is so good I bought 2lbs while in the PNW and another 2lbs to take back to Texas. Also tried a ribeye, top quality. Anywhere near Canby, make the trip and check it out!

Bought some of their spicy pepperoni and summer sausage at the Portland roadster show. This stuff was frickin amazing ! I’ll definitely be making the drive to Canby to get some more.

Stopped in there today to check it out and owner was amazing, as he answered all my stupid questions and had me try a few samples and they were amazingly delicious. Loved that he was wearing a gruntstyle t-shirt. We'll definitely be stopping in there again. Also super friendly

THE WORST MEAT MARKET!!!!Unfortunately, I tried calling and talking to someone in the shop this weekend, and it seemed no one cared about my complaint. I wanted to talk to them before this awful review. Rotten Meat! 3 times that I have gone out of 8 times, we have got spoiled meat. The pork chops were so spoiled that it stunk up my car in the 10 minutes it took me to get home. The smell was awful. I couldn't get the smell out of my car for 10 days! Then 4 ribeyes sour and spoiled the next trip. Last weekend, our flank steak was the worst smell I have ever smelled. Rotten! Not one employee cared what my complaint was. As far as the sandwich shop, that's not good either. You could make the sane thing at home and would have been 100 times better. The Meating place or Gartners from now on. So much for supporting small businesses

Good sandwiches. They even had coloring books and crayons for the kids!Did you know this place had a restaurant?! I just found it and I’ve lived here for over 3 years haha.
