I recently took my vehicle in after my check engine light came on. Everyone in the office was friendly and professional. They took time to make sure my husband and I understood what was going on. They were very transparent about the costs and there were no hidden fees. Overall, it was a great experience and I’ll definitely continue to bring my vehicle there for routine maintenance and repairs.

It is unfortunate that I have to give a complaint review considering the original service (female) representative was very attentive and professional. However there was an issue regarding an “all points” inspection and subsequent problem's with my son’s Subaru Forester 2015 car and I called and spoke to a (man) service representative. I was explaining what my young adult son relayed to me as he is
(during the time of this review) driving over 1000 miles to his destination. While I explained my son smelled something “hot” from the engine. He checked the coolant and it was low, he filled it up. This was at approximately 400 miles of his drive. After this the “hot” smell went away and he continued on 200 more miles. I paid for any and all necessary repairs plus new tires to ensure my son would have a reliable car as he drives a lot for his work. I called the company so they could be aware this part of the inspection was not completed correctly even though it had been marked as fine. The male representative decided to debate and argue with me over this issue. Saying there is no way , that couldn’t happen , he has 30 years experience and on and on. Why would my son tell me this? My son is not going to make this up to worry his mom. I simply called to relay what I was told and was treated like any thing I said had no value or merit . This greatly upset me as I was trying to explain the best I could. I don’t need a service representative talking down to me as I had just paid $1,800 and my son is still on the road traveling. How about acknowledging there issue instead of debating at me with argumentative chatter. You don’t need to be RIGHT you need to ASSIST by acknowledging there is in fact an issue , something was not completed in the assessment and what can be done to make sure it doesn’t happen again. All this man did was upset me AND hang up on me. I have had both my cars serviced at Millar’s in Canby but am very reluctant to go back. I may not have 30 years experience as a mechanic but I have been driving and owned vehicles for over 40 years and know how I should be approached and assisted with any and all of my vehicles needs. This man should not be in the front of the business in service. He didn’t offer any suggestions, didn’t give any thoughtful consideration to the immediate situation or brain storm with me to find out how to assist my son on the road in a vehicle Millars had spent time assessing “in detail”. There was a missing component in this “ all points” assessment and my sons car had an issue. There should not have been any issues.
