Echoing Mindy H, DO NOT allow your vendors to ship to your street address in Cannon Beach. The PO's policy is to immediately return to sender any packages not addressed to a PO Box as "improperly addressed." You'd think with the large number of part-time residents in Cannon Beach that the PO might implement a policy of holding packages for a day or two to allow the addressees to retrieve them. This is particularly frustrating when your vendor does not identify which shipper they will use until you receive the tracking information. Grrrr.

Here is why I have 2. I was told by my postal office that I would have to pick the package up at the PO in Cannon Beach. Well, before I could get there, there was a returned message on my phone. I ran down there and the guy said he return it because they don't have a delivery system. I practically had to stand my ground and told him it was a priority package and he went and looked and found it. Well, he menrion the women usually comes in a sorts it out. Well, then let her do the return scan instead of freaking people out. To me that is rude and lazy. Btw, thus happened back in October. But, I would like for this season to be better for people. I just got carried away with life to respond.

Every residence in Cannon Beach has a post office box instead of street mail. Unfortunately when you order online it is not always clear how something will get delivered. Many things such as Amazon and Chewy do come to the street addresses. But watch out if you order something to your street and it goes to the post office. Be prepared for a lecture and attitude when you pick it up from one particular post office lady.

Located right on Hemlock, the main street in Cannon Beach, it's so convenient to have this post office. I've stopped by many times over the years and those working are so friendly, greeting me with a warm smile and definirelresenting the small town charm that makes Cannon Beach a repeat destination. Clean, organized and with the necessary postal supplies for mailing letters or packages, o need to wait to return to Portland to mail out gifts.

My packages always delivered to their office on time but the guy who works their his name is Jay always refuse to give me my packages and ask me to come back on the next day. My package had to sit in their office for 3 days due the holiday with weekend because he was lazy to hand me my package. It's ridiculous.Jay is very unhelpful and rude.

Intentionally unhelpful. So much for small town charm. Came to Cannon Beach on vacation and had to mail something. Woman at the counter gave me grief because the small plain brown box I wanted to mail First Class had some PM stickers on it which had been blacked-out with a Sharpie. That would have been the third time the box had been (re)used for First Class shipping. She even went so far as to say, "I don't have anything back here to cover up those stickers.". Seemed pretty clear she was intentionally trying to be a pain. I thought about using a pocket knife to cut through the many layers of clear tape and scraping off the stickers. But then I realized...I can just wait until I get back to the "big city" and they won't give a first thought to a sticker blacked-out with Sharpie, so as to be in compliance. I ship packages like this through USPS several times a week. I have never had a USPS employee be this petty about anything. And on a couple of occasions, I have had employees go out of their way to help me. Guess this is a way of creating purpose for one's life in a small town. I'll stick to the city.

Nice little post office. Not busy right before it closes and the lady at cashier wasn't rushing people. Gave me the selections of postage to chose from. Clean and organized. Gotta love the little town friendly post office worker.

I don't know much about these folks but my boyfriend said he wanted to live here. So that is really a great thing.
