Columbia Gorge Inn is a charming, family-run motel nestled in a picturesque town along the gorge. Guests appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff, often noting personal interactions with the owner, who ensures a smooth check-in experience. The inn offers clean rooms equipped with comfortable beds, fridges, microwaves, and even a water filter machine in the lobby for convenient hydration. While the building is older and features a unique bathroom layout where the toilet and shower share a space, this quirk adds character rather than detracting from comfort. Visitors highlight the affordable pricing, making it an excellent choice for budget travelers, including PCT hikers, who receive special discounts. The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding natural beauty, including Mount Hood and Mount Saint Helens, with easy access to local amenities like a grocery store and post office. Guests consistently mention the quiet atmosphere, free from road and train noise when windows are closed. With a communal grill available for guests and an emphasis on supporting local businesses, Columbia Gorge Inn is an inviting option for anyone looking to enjoy the stunning gorge area while feeling at home.
Stayed there in August 2021 and again in August 2023. A family-run motel. The owners are very nice. A dated building, but nicely maintained. Fridge, microwave, coffee in the room. Very quiet A/C. No noise from the road or the trains with the windows closed. Right behind the grocery store, though the whole town is tiny.

Nice place to stay in town! Right next to the post office and grocery store, everything is walkable. They are hiker-friendly for PCT hikers and currently offer a small discount for them. Would stay again.

The owner was super helpful and the location was prime. Had a great feel to it.Room had ironing board but no iron. Didn’t need it but brought a smile to my face. I’m 120% positive she would have one if asked. :)Definitely coming back.
