Always had good luck with them. They don't really do emergencies, but they do urgent care. I can get an appointment within a week or two versus a month out. They have reasonable prices and they always call me before doing something that would cost more.I appreciate private practice vets in the growing world of corporate vet clinics.

We brought out dogs there for a teeth cleaning. They ended up only cleaning one dogs teeth and pulled a quarter of her teeth without asking for approval. Then to top it off, our other dog caught something from their dirty facility. When we called the girl at the front started immediately denying it had anything to do with the vets office. (3 days after leaving there is a normal incubation time for kennel cough.) she said they’ve never had a case of kennel cough come from their facility (they wouldn’t have a record of it if they handled it like this) she started making stuff up like that it was her heart but they did tests on her heart and had just told me it was fine. Then the front desk girl said our other dogs teeth might have just fallen out during the cleaning.( another lie) if the teeth just fell out then why was I charged so much extra for the un approved work. Long story short is the vets office made my dog very sick and took no accountability for the issue they directly caused. Don’t ever trust these hacks with your pets!!! And the receptionists are rude and don’t know what they’re doing.

My little guy has been going through a tough time. I’ve been needing to get him into a vet but no one had any space. I found this place and checked it out. When I walked in they were slammed, there was only one person attending. When the person was finally able to attend me she was so kind and attentive to what I was saying. I know my situation was not unique yet she definitely made me feel heard and made the situation work out ultimately. It’s so refreshing to see humans who love what they do(or at least do an incredible job at making it look like they do). The woman’s name was Jennifer, as a business owner this is exactly the type of person I would want representing my business.

I brought my dog here a few times. Never again! Office staff is extremely rude. Doesn't greet you or even look at you. I had tests run. They didn't call me and Dr. didn't discuss her results.

This place is terrible, my sister used to take her dog here and we had nothing but poor experiences. The receptionists/ office staff are very rude and dismissive, we’ve never enjoyed speaking with them. The hospital is not well kept, very dirty and the paper only records are a mess to figure out. Would not recommend.

Very friendly and caring staff, they got my fur baby in last minute when he tore a nail. Always a good experience and my dog is very comfortable there when he’s normally quite timid. I appreciate the wonderful staff and quality care for Curly Joe!

Horrible experience to say the least. They treat you like a disposable piece of trash, & give your animals back sitting in their own feces. Strongly advise to go elsewhere.

Dr Starnes and Dr Engeset (spelling?) are so loving and compassionate towards their patients. Our family starting taking our pets to Ned Starnes in 1961, when he passed away, his son, Kevin Starnes took over with the same compassionate care that his father offered. I've witnessed 61 years of excellence. I still drive from Portland to Central Point for my dog's annual check ups, vaccinations and dental hygiene. I feel like Roxy Ann Veterinary clinic gives my fur babies the best care available.

As an ex of the veterinarian, it says a lot that I won't take my animals anywhere else. I have, but ended up calling here to ask for a second opinion every time. Although I understand the frustration of communication issues with staff. As a business owner, that is always a frustrating problem with employees and co-workers and people in general. Saying a clinic doesn't care based on cost is wild to me. From where I've been, they are comparable. I saw a reviewer also mention the cost of a house call. How many regular vets do them? Not even sure they still do them here... Also, I have personally seen every staff member heartbroken over the loss of pets they didn't even know. Some of these reviews are not from the clinic I am familiar with. Yes, sometimes you will have to wait. This is a medical office, but also an ER clinic, X-ray diagnostic center...you get the idea. They have to prioritize based on need. If your animal ate rat poison or got hit by a car, would you really prefer they take care of the toe nail clips or ear cleanings first (examples)? I wouldn't. We all demand immediate attention, but I certainly have had to wait in an ER or Doctor's office. Now that I have no affiliation here, I can say this.... calm down people! Try to go to the ER, review it one star, and say it's BECAUSE nobody cares because they don't answer the phone on time. Or because you had to wait, or that one nurse was annoying so the doctor shouldn't do a surgery. Oh, and remove your ability to communicate and expect everyone to understand exactly what's wrong with you. The staff are people. So... But, I know they care about animals. The amount of emotions (understandably), they have to deal with, icky fluids, and sickness in general - and are not paid a nursing wage REQUIRES compassion and kindness. These reviews were too exaggerated to ignore. I don't want to go in and visit everyone, but I do want my animals cared for here.
