While at first glance the venue is beautiful and the grounds are scenic, a little bit of time spent here, such as for a wedding, you will find it disappointing and dysfunctional. While helping set up and attending a wedding at the Willows here is what I experienced.Planters and urns throughout the grounds which at one time had plants but now were dead and empty. A maintenance area without any cover exposed for guests to see, unplanted flowers and greenery, bags of soil, tools, stacks of furniture, old umbrella, and no way to cover or a place to move these items out of view. Freestanding water fountains were not operatingOdors of gasoline in the groomsmen and restroom area (this we were able to air out) and in the bar area of the reception tent.Cob webs and spiders of every kind everywhere in the reception tent, bar, restrooms, bride and groomsmen rooms.Lack of sink and running water at the bar area in the reception tent. We had to fetch water from the restrooms or the brides room where the faucet was a trickle. A non working toilet in the brides area. The bridal party had to walk outside across the venue to use the restroom facilities. The restroom facilities were dirty, finger prints on the back of the doors and various stages of decay. Light bulbs were mix matched and not working (they did replace them for us). A layer of dirt and dust. There was an area under construction with exposed holes and very large pile of dirt which was left uncovered and in view of the guests. This also included exposed storage of several ladders and unused columns.Floor monument protruded more than 7” above the floor, loose boards, in the reception tent were a hazard to guests. Exposed electrical jboxes at the fireplace wall where sconces should have been mounted. Globes of the lamps dirty and filled with dead insects.Built-in planters in the reception tent were unplanted and simply covered with a wood board. We were told there would be tent walls added to cover the unused bar area. The venue put up tent walls with windows so you could then see through to the unused bar area. The bar area was a disarray, littered with tools and other unused items. We were told there was decor for the gazebo however the day of our event we were told it was an additional charge and the venue was hesitant as they didn’t know where the decor was and they complained they would need to get up on a ladder to install it. Later they produced several yards of white fabric, which had stains and we hung it ourselves along with additional fabric and garlands which we purchased last minute day of the event to remedy the issue.Extra charges for removal of garbage were a surprise, read your contract carefullyPlan to bring a large cleaning and moving crew along lots of extra decor to try and make the unfinished venue presentableMy 2 star review is generous.I would like to see the venue succeed, but simple maintenance and fresh eyes for consideration of the guests is critical

Joe really needs to figure his attitude out. I have no idea how he thinks he can answer the business phone with an annoyed rude “HELLO” when we were trying to inquire about the venue. I have dealt with him also in the past in a public customer service setting pertaining to his business (The Willows) and he was just unbelievably rude to me.. what a great way to really put a good word in for your business when I knew you were the owner.

I had my wedding here. First, I will say it is a beautiful place. Which is why I gave them stars at all.I would never do my wedding here if I had to re do it. So many things made me mad on my actual wedding day. We paid a lot of money for what we got.We asked if we could store some items on the property the night before to help us set up in the morning. Some of which were drinks that did not contain any alcohol. Because we signed a contract saying we wouldn't bring any alcoholon the property. On the day of my wedding, joe accused my husband of having alcohol in them, and after he told him what was in it, he kept fighting us on it. Then, when i got there to set up the decorations. He was showing the venue off while i was setting up my wedding. He did not ask me if i was okay with it at all. And if i paid for the day, i didn't want to share it with strangers looking around while i was getting everything ready. The very least he could have asked us if we were okay with it. Also the fact that he went through our things without our permission.Joe was very rude to us and all our guests. I had many friends and family members ask why he was giving them dirty looks and treating them horribly. There are so many more horrible details of my wedding day that i could share. I would definitely recommend any couple looking at this venue to look elsewhere.

Held our wedding at The Willows recently and had a wonderful experience. Working with the owner, Joe, made the planning process (especially from out of town) much easier. He is so friendly, helped with suggestions, and went above and beyond. The grounds are beautifully kept and it seems like they continually have projects to make it even more so. I love that there are several areas to choose from for the different parts of your event. The option of having a covered area in case of stormy weather also took a lot of stress off my shoulders. The rooms for both the women and men to get ready in was a huge bonus! The day of staff were also friendly and helpful, it made our special day easy to enjoy. We loved the bartending service during the reception and that they bussed after dinner! The beirgarten is so beautiful in the evening with the lights and fireplace on, I just love it. I recommend this venue whole heartedly.

I have no clue what they charge as I didn't get married there but I know it is right about the price point for the folk that think they're better than everyone because they think/do have more money than anyone but it's not so much that they are the humble and polite wealthy type, based on how snobby/rude their staff are.The only thing The willows has going on for it is a decent view of the valley and if you are the type of person who wants to take wedding pictures on a tennis court let me do you a favor and recommend that you don't. I have seen brides in dresses doing photo shoots on their tennis court and I'm not saying that you won't love the pictures and look beautiful in them. But what I am saying is that you will feel/look a lot prettier if you don't do it in your wedding dress or take your picture somewhere else on their property.

Mr and Mrs Dowling have a beautiful place on old stage rd. I've helped Joe bring his visions to reality with some expansions to his beautiful venue. I love working with Joe, he is a great guy and a joe to work with. Give his beautiful grounds a look for your next function, you will not regret it. Warren.

Great wedding venue in Southern Oregon. I photographed a Spring wedding here that was gorgeous. The house is beautiful and everyone was wonderful to work with. Lots of greenery with tree coverage.

Joe and Sandy were nothing short of experienced, gracious, and enjoyable hosts for our wedding. The rehearsal went off without a hitch, and the ambience and venue were spectaclular. We were worried about the weather, but Joe had a contingency plan in place in the event we were rained out. The wedding itself was as perfect a wedding as could be. The service was fantastic, everyone was on point, and the day couldn't have gone better.

We got married at The Willows and it was stunning! The outdoor space is reminiscent of a fairytale garden and the tented Biergarten offers a vintage charm that is timeless, but what really makes this a winner are the owners and staff! Joe was incredibly accommodating and flexible. Even allowing major changes the night before our wedding. Chelsea, their day of coordinator made me feel taken care of and at ease. Everyone from the bartender to the lot attendants were so kind and professional. We received compliments from our other vendors about them as well. They made our day amazing! Do yourself a favor and book them. You won’t regret it!
