Dawson House Lodge is a unique and charming accommodation located in a small town, offering visitors a comfortable place to rest during their travels. Guests have noted the friendly and welcoming nature of the owners, contributing to a warm atmosphere that makes staying here enjoyable. The lodge features nostalgic decor, with clean and spacious rooms that provide beautiful views. Some rooms, like the Trupp room, can be small, but the overall charm compensates for it. While many appreciate the comfortable beds and the quaint character of the lodge, some areas, such as the flooring and bathrooms, are in need of updates. The shower facilities, including an old clawfoot tub, add a unique touch, although the bathroom size may be a concern for taller guests. Visitors also mention the convenience of nearby stores and dining options, such as a local taqueria. However, some feedback indicates that service can be inconsistent, with challenges in communication and limited assistance at times. Despite these minor issues, Dawson House Lodge remains a recommended choice for travelers heading to Crater Lake or passing through Chemult, thanks to its inviting atmosphere, affordability, and overall charm.
Super friendly staff. Clean, small, inexpensive room with comfortable bed and nice hot shower.

I did not stay here. I stopped for directions. The front staff was nice, and the place looked clean from what I could see. There are not a lot of options to stay in this very small town. If you are looking for a place to rest your head for the night, then I'd suggest this on your travels.

Absolutely terrifying. Hallway door did not lock. Bed was too hard to sleep on. Even the Bible had pages torn out of it. Loud all night. TV didn't work. Pitiful. Insanely expensive for what you get. The bathroom, however, was nice and clean.
