I brought my 8 year old daughter in today for her birthday to use a $20 gift certificate we bought her for Christmas. She misplaced the certificate so we had come into the cafe another time and explained what happened. A staff member had told us that she was able to confirm the gift certificate had not been used and wrote down the gift certificate number for us. She told us that we could bring in what she wrote down on a Ceramicafe receipt when we were ready to use the certificate, so we saved it for our daughter’s birthday knowing I would be a stay at home mom by then and would likely not have the money to do something else for her birthday. Today, on her birthday, we came in and explained the situation. The first employee didn’t seem to have a problem with it, but the second one came out and told me they couldn’t accept it. She even called the manager and allowed me to talk with her. After speaking with the manager, the manager still told us no, even after I explained everything and another employee had sent her pictures of what I had brought. I paid money for the gift certificate AND had proof from another employee that it had not been used so they knew we weren’t trying to take advantage. My daughter is now disappointed as she’s been looking forward to this all week and I ended up crying right outside of the store because I felt so bad as a mom that I had to disappoint my daughter with saying that I couldn’t afford to let her pick something since I counted on the gift card.My daughter is already dealing with a lot right now and didn’t need this.I understand following policy, but given the situation, I would think an exception could have been made instead of being totally heartless, especially with my 8 year old right there.Normally, we really like CermiCafe, but this was really upsetting.

This was a fun activity. Nice environment and real easy to be creative. There are plenty of figurines, dishes, and objects to paint. We also enjoyed the variety of colors they have. It was a clean space, that was busy but did not crowd our personal space.

I came here with my kid’s preschool class and they were very organized and helpful and the turkey hands they made turned out adorable! I ended up bringing my 9 year old back to paint a christmas decoration and it was another great experience! The people working there explained how to do everything and checked in with us several times and it also came out really nice! We went early before they got busy which I could tell made us have a better experience! We were the first ones there on a Saturday and when we left it was almost full! The pieces are a little spendy but it’s worth it to get personalized artwork and support a local business!

We've been coming here for years. Every Christmas for an ornament and at least 1 other time through the year. A very fun family activity.

Went here for a birthday party. All the kids had a great time, and the painting time was nice and peaceful. Most kids' parties are not as calm. The staff was very nice and helpful

It gets busy so if you're looking for a quiet place this isn't it. But the art you create with your painting of your chosen object can last a long time. We will definitely be returning to paint more pieces!

My daughter and I went here on Harry Potter night and we loved it. It was $20 to paint a coffee mug all supplies and stencils provided. They give a slip to pick up when it is done firing. One thing I thought was odd that there wasn’t any coffee there even though it’s called a café.

I've gone a few times and it's just meh. The bisque is extremely low quality and the prices are high for the lousy bisque, but it's a fun experience so I've gone back. I would have given 3 stars, but last time I was there, they had implemented a policy (during COVID-19 and not that long after lockdowns ended?!!) that if you don't finish your piece within 2 weeks, you have to pay a $5 surcharge. It's only $5 but it's the principle that annoys me. I don't want to feel rushed to paint my piece and I have a very busy schedule so can't always carve out more free time to return within 14 days. It's an unreasonable expectation and not very customer friendly. Then, after paying their d*** fee to fire the bisque that's way overpriced to begin with, they called me the following week and said that they will only hold the piece for a week after firing and since it had been six days, they were going to donate it the next day. This wasn't ever communicated to me prior, and it was extremely inconvenient to learn at the last moment. There are other ceramics painting places, so I think I'll just go to one of those in the future.

One of my favorite places to go with my family and friends but with covid we’ve opted out of painting in but they offer paint you can buy to take home and then you can bring the pieces back. This is going to be an awesome birthday surprise for my mom.
