Our prior groomer unexpectedly passed away, and my two dogs (a doodle and a terrier) needed groomed badly. Mudpuppies quoted me an accurate quote based on my descriptions of our dogs, was prompt and friendly and did a nice job on their grooms. The dogs seemed relaxed and happy and the staff seems to really love dogs.
The price was higher than we had been paying but our prior groomer was definitely undercharging and I think Mudpuppies price is fair and in line with other groomers/what I would expect to pay.
They do a nice job and we will definitely be back!

They are a wonderful shop. They take their jobs very personally and really feel for these dogs. Jake always looks wonderful!!

Our normal place we go to went out of business, so this was our first time trying out this place. The people were nice for the most part, but the price was a bit high for what we got. The first groomer quoted us $20 for a flea dip and when we went in the next day, we were charged $25 by another groomer. $5 isn't that big of a deal, except it took her 4 hours and our dog was covered in fleas the next day. It was $100+ for our small dog to get a wash and cut, and I'm not convinced she actually did a flea dip. This might be a 1 off, but we will not be back.

Truly terrible service. I took my 9 mo pup in and they asked how many times he had been groomed. I told them once in his life. When I went to pick him up, they told me how awful he was and said that I “misrepresented how many times he had been groomed before.” I’m not sure how that is possible since I gave them the exact number, one time ☝️. I apologized that my puppy such trouble, but I did clarify that I had never been spoken to in such a manner by a business that wanted me to come back.
I won’t be returning for the sole reason that the customer service was incredibly poor. I wouldn’t go to this location if you wanted to be spoken to as a person worthy of dignity or respect.

Have brought my larger Bully here a couple of times now. Always spectacular service, and they've gone out of their way to get him in and taken care of.

Natalie did a great job with my pup. Definitely recommend!
Edit. - Have taken my dog back after Natalie left. The man that groomed my dog was rude on the phone and in person. He did a poor job grooming and my dog won't even let me touch one of his feet it is so sore after picking him up. Nails were clipped and not drummeled as requested. I will not be back again.

They do a fantastic job with my dogs nail trim. My rescue was so scared, they were terrific with her. I highly recommend. Staff is awesome!

Been coming to Mud Puppies for many years now, specifically to Sharra. We love her and her outstanding work. She truly cares for all our pups. They are reasonably priced with multiple locations around the Portland metro area. Highly recommend to everyone!! Benji & Snickers love you!

We’ve been taking our pup to Mudpuppies since we adopted him six years ago. They changed locations to this current location awhile back and the parking situation is a lot better and more calm for our dog.
The staff is always accommodating and so friendly and sweet to our dog who has trauma from being on the streets and in the shelter. They are very patient with him and always return him back to us super fresh, happy, and handsome. One of the perks I love is that Mudpuppies does a photo shoot of the dogs after grooming so we have such fun photos of our sweet dog to keep forever.
I’ve recommended all my friends and family to Mudpuppies over the years who have dogs and will continue to do so :)
