Plaid Pantry is a Portland-owned convenience store chain, established in 1963, and known for its quick and accessible snacks and beverages. While some locations, like the Sunnyside store, have experienced high employee turnover and inconsistent customer service, many customers appreciate the friendly staff and pleasant experiences at other locations. One customer highlighted exceptional service when a cashier helped carry ice to their car, showcasing the positive interactions that can occur. However, some reviews mention issues such as a messy store and a soda machine that leaves a moldy aftertaste. Additionally, customers have reported that not all locations offer bottle exchanges, which can be confusing. Overall, Plaid Pantry provides a diverse range of products, but experiences can vary by location.
Saturday at 550 pm stop for a soda. Woman in front of door smoking on a stool informing me she on break and I’ll have to wait 15min??? Really bad look - I just start going somewhere that isn’t on break

We stop in often to grab a monster and the nicest people work here. Today we went to grab 6-16 pound bags of ice and the cashier Rob I believe, grab them for me and brought them out to my car. I’ve never seen such great customer service! Give that man a raise!

Nice store. It was a little messy. It didn’t have quite everything that I was looking for. But it was good for a quick stop.
