Camp Meriwether (Boy Scouts of America)

Hours: Camp Meriwether is a premier Scout camp located on the scenic Oregon Coast, featuring a private ocean beach and hundreds of acres for adventure. The property includes Lake Chamberlain for swimming and kayaking, a massive climbing and rappelling wall, a state-of-the-art shooting range, and mountain bike trails. The camp offers lots of merit badge opportunities, a forge, and wonderful amenities. The camp sites and sleeping quarters are awesome and extremely picturesque. The dining hall is impressive, and the food is wonderful, though vegetarian alternatives could be improved. The shooting sports facilities and climbing facilities are the best many have seen at a scout camp, and the waterfront is well top-notch. The bike course is pretty cool with fun, fairly technical trails. The staff is awesome, amazing, super friendly, and helpful, creating a memorable week. The training post is stocked with anything you could possibly need. It is a wonderful scout camp, fun for Scouts and adult leaders, with a cool history that attracts troops from across the country. Be prepared to walk a lot.
