“We were travelling from Painted Hills to Hillsboro. Got stuck on highway 206 due to ice on road. Took refuge at the motel on Christmas night. The manager was also very nice to give us food from their Christmas leftover. We were saved !”
“Nice place. Manager is very nice and very service oriented. Quiet and relaxing. It's worth the money to get a little bigger room ("premium"). The drive between Shaniko and Condon is beautiful, as is the drive from Condon to Biggs Junction. One minor heads up- the restaurant and bar are closed Sunday nights as is just about everything else in Condon that one night. Best to take dinner with you. There's a grocery store in Fossil, OR but they close at 5 pm on Sundays.There's a small library area in the hotel which is a nice place to read. The lamps in the rooms themselves aren't great for reading, not really bright reading lamps. In general, I highly recommend this place.”
