Hotels in Condon, OR

“My wife and I recently had the pleasure of spending a couple of days at the hotel Condon. And I do mean pleasure. The hotel has done a wonderful job of providing amenities that we have come to expect from a hotel stay while at the same time not losing the historic charm of the hotel itself. The staff was beyond accommodating and friendly they were real, something you don’t always see in the .com world we live in. I would be remiss if I didn’t include in the review a mention of Powell‘s across the street from the hotel. Once again the owner was friendly The food was wonderful including mide to order sandwiches, some specials and a fabulous malt made with real ice cream. Included in the historic building he also had a very interesting selection of items to buy and some unique book selections to browse as he made your food. Perhaps more importantly we arrived just moments before a monumental downpour. Looking out the window as we talked to the owner we saw our car and were laughing at the prospect of unloading our luggage. The owner offered to help unload the car with us. The thing is he offered it as a person, as a gentleman ,not someone who is trying to grow a business or suck up. You can tell the difference. It was a pleasant reminder of the way thing could be.”

“We were travelling from Painted Hills to Hillsboro. Got stuck on highway 206 due to ice on road. Took refuge at the motel on Christmas night. The manager was also very nice to give us food from their Christmas leftover. We were saved !”
