My family has been turned down so many times since Covid that I don't think we got help more than once and we used to get help a few times a year as my wife and I are disabled. It is what it is but having eviction court then seeing I should call ORCCA on the paperwork is a reminder that they don't help everyone or even give a reason as to why but I think I know.

ORCCA is a tremendous help to so many people . it's important to keep programs like these going. Very helpful and friendly. Well informed and they return calls.

No!! They say they will help you. They approve your energy assistance BUT DONT ACTUALLY PAY IT!! I've been dealing with my energy provider MONTH AFTER MONTH to get my bill paid. They say that ORCA pledges the money but doesn't actually send it. This is seriously shameful.
I am the poorest of the poor, but NOONE deserves this kind of lying and mental anguish from an organization that is supposed to help the poor. SHAMEFUL!!

The people working here, in my experience, genuinely care about you. They aren’t just doing a quick ‘here, sign this okay. See you whenever’ type thing. They call you. They share things they search intentionally for you. It feels like you’ve found a member of your family you haven’t seen in awhile. I’ll forever be grateful to them for their help and support. They take the whole person into account… not just parts you tell them about.

I was checking into the veterans programs that they have, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. They got me to the veterans specialist, and I was able to take care of everything quickly and efficiently. An amazing group of people. Thank you for everything.

Rented a place and was assured of the deposit thru Community Action , but it’s been a month still have not received it, keep getting the runaround from them , will not rent to anyone again who has them pay the deposit
