Our favorite place to stay in Coos Bay.
It's always affordable, clean and comfortable.
This weekend we stayed overnight to celebrate our anniversary. It was decorated with flowers and made us feel warm and welcomed.
Nearby activities: Great beaches.
Noteworthy details: Very friendly staff who went the extra mile to make our stay welcoming.

Hot water did not work in the room. Multiple units impacted by the outage. Pool was full of trash and not available to use. Door was open to pool area, wires exposed, it was surprising to see how bad the place has gotten in just the last year. One person was at counter complaining strangers were in the room they went to check into.
Rooms: No hot water.
Safety: Pool area appears to me to be dangerous. Exposed wires, see pics.

Seems skeptical at first bad lighting of the parking lot. The room was decent, though

They did not have a prepaid reservation in system and never gave us the room! Crazy stuff …

Disgusting and run down. Room smelled like mold (shocking, there was mold on the shower curtain). Crumbs were on the chairs and the carpet was ripped. Quite obvious management and maintenance do not care about the condition of the rooms for guests. Made it 30 minutes before checking out and leaving for a safer hotel. Bed also had a visible crease in the middle.

Filthy, disgusting hotel. Never again.
Clearly management needs an upgrade here, as well as the cleaning staff.

Next to sewage treatment plant. Had handicap room and no anti-slip mat in the shower. Maid did get me a shower stool which helped.

For some context. I've stayed here 3 times over the last 4 months. My 2 previous stays were uneventful, with nothing out of the ordinary. However this last stay.... I arrived at 4:30 behind several travelers. There was a line of a dozen people trying to check-in, and there was only 1 girl working the desk. After 30 minutes, I was checking in and was told they had to borrow key cards from a neighboring hotel, and they needed to be inserted upside-down to work. I went to my room and my key card did not work at all. I came back downstairs to find a new dozen people preceding me in line. I waited another 30 minutes to get a new key card. All in all I waited over an hour after arrival to finally get into my room. This morning, I went to the breakfast area, and they did not have any hot food available. (They normally provide frozen breakfast burritos and sandwiches you can microwave). There is a large sign in the cooler with arrows pointing to an empty space that says "Breakfast". But no breakfast. This was a super disappointing stay.

This is a motel, the first impression was poor. The receptionist seemed very burnt out and overworked. The first impression of the room was the outside door was dusty and a panel was missing. As we opened the door we were greeted with a strong smell of mold. I'm allergic and almost immediately went in to an asthma attack. When we went to the front desk to cancel they told us they could not give us a refund for our room that was prepaid. Do not stay here.
