The Cornelius Public Library has served the community for over 100 years. The library is a department of the City of Cornelius, as well as one of 14 Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) member libraries that share a countywide collection of about 1.6 million items. All programs and services are free to the community. Visitors can enjoy classes, cultural events, and kid programs, as well as free WiFi and use of Microsoft Word and the internet. The library is described as the best in the WCCLS system, with a strong sense of community and inclusive, high-quality programs. The beautiful building features a new mural in the children's section, toys, and comfortable seating. The library is also a great space for meetings and group activities, with glassed-off rooms for studying. Overall, the Cornelius Public Library is an accessible, quiet, and community-oriented space that offers a wide range of resources and services.
