Honesty.
Sam did the breaks on our 2019 f150. Asked him to look over the truck as we are going on a big trip.
He found our water pump was leaking, slowly but leaking. Explains why the coolant was going low every few months.
He discovered the rear end needed serviced and did that while doing the brakes.
Replaced all 4 rotors, pads and 2 calipers.
He did not replace the front as they still had 60%.
That went a long way for me as alot of shops would of just changed then and said they were bad for the extra add on.
Shows me he really did look everything over as asked.
Brakes work great the repair.
New life long customer now, have a few vehicles I'll be taking here for the future.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a honest repair shop.

I wasn’t sure if my AC is functioning correctly so I scheduled an appointment with Auto Tech. They looked over the car quickly and told me perhaps I should wait as the pressures in the tank should be sufficient for the time being. Because I was going on a road trip they even did a quick over the engine for me. Nice people Ada so friendly and lovely Sam highly recommended as I am definitely coming back here.

I had a hard time finding someone in Salem to change my transmission fluid. They said that I needed to go to the dealer for that. My Mom highly recommended Sam at AutoTech. She has gone to them for years and feels like they've always been very honest and fair in whatever they did on her older vehicles. They got me right in and changed the fluid and I haven't had any problems since.

I love everything about this shop! I have been a loyal customer for a couple of years now after going in and getting an honest quote on a brake job.
John and his mechanic Sam, have literally saved my butt more than I’d like to admit. From a busted radiator hose, to a drive line that was hanging on for dear life by ONE bolt. Most recently Sam replaced my timing belt, water pump, hoses, gaskets, seals, oil change, plugs, wires, and then some, and had me back on the road within a couple of days.
My 1990 4 Runner, aka, The Hot Tamale, is spicier than ever bee-boppin around town, AND I am getting 60 PLUS more miles per tank with the tune up! Who knew?
John has retired, and his amazing protege is now the owner of Auto Tech, and I’m so happy. Thank you Sam for being great at what you do, and thank you to Ada for always being so sweet and getting me in ! Keep up the good work, yall!

Beware of this shop, used them once NEVER again. I used their oil change & free inspection coupon for $35.00. I had called to make an appointment and ask if I could supply my own oil as it needed to be Mobil 1 synthetic oil. They assured me that was fine. When job was completed, I was charged the original amount, NO credit for supplying my own oil, no report of inspection results, and charged me 3% extra for using Visa.

So everyone beware. I’ve been to a handful of mechanics here in Corvallis and have felt like I was getting screwed over… until I found auto tech. I totally loved them at first and felt like I had found a shop that finally was fair and did things the right way. Today, I had to take my car in. I had started the front brakes, with all the parts on my own… well I couldn’t get the bolt out of the caliper on one side. So with one side done, and all the parts provided, I finally had to surrender and bring it to auto tech. I left it with them just to finish the driver side brake pads and new rotor that I provided. So all said and done they call me and I talk to John, he tells me that 1 1/2 hours of labor comes out to be $240. I just wanted to cry. I clarified that they are charging $160 an hour for labor and the lady said yup, like it was no big deal. Again, just beware… they are out here scamming people just like every other shop. $160 an hour for labor is INSANE

My son's (a student at OSU) car was vandalized Nov. '23. The fuel door and gas cap were stolen plus the gas tank showed more volume than when he parked it. Auto Tech drained the tank, added injector fuel cleaner, replaced the gas cap and fuel door with factory parts also added five gallons of fresh fuel. They took care of him all in one day. These guys are freaking awesome!While in the area from out of town we started having brake and transmission issues.With the nation wide branded type of shops in the area closed on a Friday, I found these guys! Passing through Corvallis on trip to Medford. Battery light came on, and I had recently had the alternator replaced at another shop (both shops are part of the TechNet warranty program). Explained my predicament to Brittany over the phone, she said to bring it in right away.Sam (mechanic) diagnosed that the alternator was not working. Brittany spent a good deal of time on the phone getting TechNet approval to cover replacement since it had only been 1 week since initial repair.They were able to get the car fixed and back to me within about 36 hours. Warranty program covered rental car for 2 days.Can't say enough good things about the service, communication, and flexibility they all provided.Brittany, Sam and John were all extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend AutoTech for any service needs in Corvallis!Services: General repairs & maintenance
