If you’re looking for a Car Repair place that is trustworthy and honest, this is the place to go. Had problems with my car stalling out while driving. Stopped by. They took my car in without an appointment. Found the problem and fixed it, now that’s service. It’s so good to know I have a place I can take my car and not worry. I am a customer for life. Excellent service, caring people.

A brand new serpentine that was installed by another mechanic in Albany belt broke while the car was in Corvallis. We called them and they said to get it to D&B and they will take care of us. Tina was great on the phone and in person. Jack checked everything out to make sure nothing was damaged, put the battery on a charger, and got the replacement belt delivered and installed in just a few hours. They worked with the Albany mechanic to take care of the bill. No charge. Highly recommend D&B Bear service for car maintenance and repair in Corvallis!

Went to D&B in July after going to them over the years. After charging me $2650 and replacing head gasket and a lot of other things, check engine light turned on and car drove rough. Went back, they replaced knock sensor. Left and engine light turned on in a couple of miles, driving rough. Brought back, they gave new idle air control valve. Left and check engine light on in three miles and driving rough. Brought back same day and they gaslit me and told me it only happened when I drove it and then said I probably needed a new transmission. Took it to John's Auto and in 30 minutes they diagnosed and fixed the vacuum leak. It did not need any new parts and was obvious to all three mechanics and secretary the noise and issues. It drives great now. Four times D&B could not find the issue which John found in minutes. The only way they missed this easy diagnosis is they either didn't look, which makes them poor mechanics, or they are dishonest, or both. On the bright side, I have an honest, reputable new mechanic now.

I had a great experience here, I brought my car in for a coolant leak and front strut replacement. They did a fantastic job, I got a text within an hour of drop off letting me know what the check engine light and coolant leak issue were! My car drives smoother than it ever has with the new struts! I highly recommend!! I'm a young college age girl and did not feel I was being taken advantage of in any way. They did exactly what I told them to do with no pushing of anymore repairs, even went through a general check up and said my car is in great shape! Thank you D & B Bear for being a professional, trustworthy mechanic shop!

Came in with the concern of a creaking noise on my front left suspension. They checked it out and told me I needed to replace both my left and right front control arms and slapped me with a $900 estimate. I told them since my father is a mechanic, I would prefer to drive it down to California to get the repair done down there and asked if the car was safe enough to make the trek down. The mechanic said he "wouldn't recommend this". To preface, all I had was that creaking noise. The car drove perfectly fine and in no way felt like I needed both of the control arms replaced. I decided to take my car to another mechanic for a second opinion to which he told me my control arms were fine and I just needed the sway bar links replaced. I ended up getting that simpler work done by this new mechanic and it completely fixed the issue of the noise. The car drives great and haven't had the noise come back since. I wholeheartedly believe D & B Bear Service was taking advantage of the situation and I hope others see this review to not be scammed. It's crazy that the mechanic made it sound like I couldn't drive smooth highway miles down to California to get my car fixed, yet since I last saw them I made multiple treks up to Northern Oregon on multiple different terrains with zero issues, all on the same control arms. Almost like magic!

Brought a car in here for a used car inspection. The price tag (which is well below average, I've just never done something like this before) scared me at first, but I decided to go for it and I'm SO glad I did. I got a call back an hour after I dropped it off and the man (didn't catch his name but he had a white beard) was very knowledgeable and upfront with me. He provided an estimate for the repairs and told me flat out that it wasn't worth what it was being sold for and I shouldn't buy it. It was exactly what I wanted. All the reviews are true, this is not the kind of place that will take advantage of women and/or people who are obviously inexperienced with cars. I highly recommend it
